Nice view but... Being from Lannion I prefer the coast of pink granit. ^^

Both coastlines are wonderful (I can't count the times how often we stayed in Trevou Treguinec and the Lannion area). Crozon is more dramatic and powerful but Cote d'Armour let me feel at peace anis ful of surprises. And I like to climb all those rocks. But I can't say what is my favourite place in Bretagne. I love St. Malo deeply, I also love to visit Concarneau or Guilvinec. And I wish I would live in Lannion (happy you..I'm jealous!!!!!! ;-; ).

Will you go there? It's so amazing there. The Picture is from Crozon Peninsula (go to Camaret sur merΒ and to the Pointe the Dinan, those are the most beautiful spots at the Peninsula ). We go for the Bretagne every 4 years when there is the huge sailing ship event in Brest unfortunattly the next one is in 3 and a half yr.)

Well, most of my family lives in Bretagne or is from Bretagne, so I go there quite often. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near. With my cousin, we're planning on going hiking around Crozon for a few days when we'll have some free time.
I couldn't attend last year's festival because I was working (in the alps), but literally all of my family was there. My sister was sailing on the Hermione, so it was a big event for us. I attended in 2012 and 2004 though and I loved it. Maybe we'll meet there in 3 years!

Where exactly do they live? My..I'm so jealous! All my family lives in Germany, well, my brother is somehow near the baltic sea (in LΓΌbeck) but that is so lame in comparism with the Bretagne! Crozon is so beatiful for hiking (the cliffs are great and all the hidden bays...*-*) How did your sister managed to sail on the HermoineΓ I was sitting at the cliffs on Crozon when she left Brest and taking pictures. such an impressive ship. First time I see here was near La rochellewhen they still builded her. And YES! We should meet there in 3 yrs. No way I'm gonna miss that! ^.^

And btw, about the Hermione, my mom just told me they're still accepting applications for the 2018 journey (but maybe not for long), so if you want to go, you can apply And you don't necessary need to have sailing experience.

They live mostly in Finistère (Saint Cadou, Brest) and Morbihan (Gourin). The family is from a place called Guipronvel, some cousins still own a farm there. And then there's quite a few in Nantes (and the Paris squad). I personally live in the southern french Alps, so I'm quite far from Bretagne (but it's beautiful too, and great for hiking). I'm pretty sure there's some very cool places in Germany! I've been there once but I was 5, so I can't remember anything >_< Lübeck looks really nice!
Just like you, we used to visit the Hermione during the construction. We heard from a friend that they were recruiting volunteers, so my sister send an application letter, and then she went for the try-outs and was chosen. One of the conditions was to be able to climb the tallest mast. Apparently the crowd on Crozon was huge when she left Brest. I think my dad was there. I was really sad to miss it. But yes, I won't miss it in 2020!
