Info about the Star Key:
When Sakura changed the Clow Staff into the Sakura Staff, she also changed the Clow Key into the Sakura Key. The two work in very much the same way: Sakura needs to recite an incantation for the Star Key to turn into the Star Staff seen here: [link]

I have most of the series on vhs (I only had a vhs player when I started the series) and dvd...but I'm missing just one o.o; I dunno about costumes...I've never actually cosplayed in my entire life(unless you count dressing up for the ren faire) although I'd love to some day

We have a combo vhs, dvd...but it's only a matter of time before it gets replaced with blu-ray, right? Give it 5 years 
Exchange one problem for another I suppose: Tape breaking and getting caught in machine, for scratches rendering the dvd/blu-ray useless

Well I like the combos. But I hate blue-ray. To expensive and stupid. DVD's are just fine.

You don't notice such things when watching the movie itself. If it makes the artists of the film feel better about the details in portraying their story, all power to 'em.
Perhaps once more people buy the Blu-rays, the price will come down, as is usually the case in marketing, or they will completely get rid of VHS all together (they still sell a few) and start turning all the DVD movies into Blu-rays, to the point if the movie you want is on Blu-ray you don't have a choice >.<
