Once Upon  a Time,
There was a beautiful young girl who was cursed with blindness. She hated her world because she could not see its' wonders. She hated all, except for one single boy, whom loved her dearly. But reader, alas, this  girl, as all mortals do, had a fatal flaw; pride. And because of this pride she was cold-hearted and selfish. But the boy still loved her more than his own life. She told the boy that if she could only see he loves' face . . . She    would be his until the end of time. The boy was heartbroken because he knew it could never  be.

  One day, many months later, a miracle occurred! Somebody donated their eyes to the girl, and she could finally see the world for what it was. But when she found the boy to show him the good news, she was devastated when she saw that he was also blind. Pride took over; she refused to be his love. After all, she reasoned, how could he possibly love her if he could not see her face?  As she walked away from him for the final time, a single teardrop glistening on his eyelash, he said simply . . .

            "Take care of my eyes,
                                            my love."
