Description
- the days go by and nothing happens.
fifty two weeks project
this is early because so far my week was crap, but I hope the weekend will be better.
I took this in our garden, under my favourite tree. the papers are worksheets from last year, they have been lying about in my room as I was too lazy to sort through them. I had fun throwing them around, they were all wet and dirty but I didn't care, it felt good.
this is how I feel about school. I want to throw away every single worksheet I got the past days. because I am so unproductive and I am not able to pay attention in school at the moment. I have my first exam on wednesday, I believe I forgot how to study.
apart from my mood, this shoot was fun and I really like the results.
the weather is bad but I don't care, I will take pictures anyway, I actually think the foggy and dull atmosphere everywhere is pretty.

I took a look at your whole project, and it really inspired me. It also really moved me. Great project and great works. And I really recognize that feeling of being forced to study and not wanting to spend so much time on it and also the feeling of endless proscrastinating and making things harder for yourself. I think many people have these feelings and I really liked how you portrayed them in a lot of your works. I also have to say I love your photography style. Lately I see a lot of ''glamorous'' photography on deviantart. Pictures that want to be beautiful, sexy with daring models and that are overedited and also are meant to be showing off the technical skill of the photographer. I am sure this comes out a bit blurry, because my mother language isnt english and I cant even explain this properly in my own language.
I really like your style. It's pure, it's simple, it's beautiful.
Keep up the great work.

first off thank you for going through the whole project, I love when people do that!
I think I understand what you were trying to say and as far as I can tell, your english is really quite good. I know what you mean with the "glamorous" photography. I do enjoy some of those images, but primarily I love photos that just mean something to someone and most of all express something.
so thank you for your words, they mean a lot to me, and I'm happy you like my photos.

I love this. I'm behind on mine because for some damn reason, my files won't upload. I've made the files smaller, thinking they were just too big, but nothing yet and I don't want to make them any smaller than 900px on either side.
>.<;
But anyways. I do love this. Seems like you got a barrier going on in the photo. Like you just want to block out school. xD

you cannot upload pictures anymore? weird.
thank you, though!

I'm thinking I have to resize my images more! D: I'm gonna have to save two copies - a small and large version. Which means taking up more memory.
>.<
Fudge sticks.
Anyways...no problem.

I don't get why it won't let you upload the normal sized files?
π: 0 β©: 1
DiskoFaery In reply to Rona-Keller [2009-10-12 07:24:04 +0000 UTC]
Well my normal sizes range between around 1500 - 2000 px's each on atleast on one part of the dimensions.
It gets pretty big because, if I one day want to set it up as a print I can offer many size options.
But, now I have to dumb it down.
It's such a large file for my weak internet connection.
And I believe that's my problem.

yeah I know, my images are 3888x2592 big but I don't have any problem with uploading them, that's why I wondered.
so the page just won't load if you try to upload a picture?
π: 0 β©: 1
DiskoFaery In reply to Rona-Keller [2009-10-13 02:26:43 +0000 UTC]
No. I can go to the submit a deviation page just fine. It's just, my internet connection is so week, if I try to upload any images in the size I usually upload them in, it just won't load.
It's like. Picture that guy trying to roll that huge boulder up to the top of a hill and because it's so huge...he ends up failing and falls back down to the bottom of that hill.
o-o;
Wow I somehow used a Greek Myth as a metaphor. /Dork.
