I used to enjoy watching Tsubasa. The series was called 'Captain Hawk', as I can recall. I loved it. There were so many heroes... Everyone had to face their pain, psychological problems etc. And they were always winning. My parents laughed, that Japan would be the greatest football team in the world, if 'Captain Hawk' was true.

If it's the youth team then they can actually compete with the best . Ìt's a mystery to me why the gap widens as age increases .
Also , Japan's women team won the 2011 world cup .
