I wanted to work on something that I had stuck in my head, and I didn't really care to make a clean drawing. So, I sketched this out. It's a sketch, because it's not clean... However, it certainly wasn't a quicky! I actually spent most of the day on it, just messing around with colors and exploring what I could do with the picture. Drawings like this make me happy.
It's also wallpaper size for wide screen monitors, so feel free to use it.

I've been following your work for about three weeks now, and out of everything you have posted on DA, this piece is my favorite. I love how much motion there is. From the fire and the steam rising from the drink, to the cold breeze and cookie crumbs falling out of frame onto the floor. Also, your elf seems contemplative, as if she's worried about a friend whom she might be meeting but hasn't yet arrived, or maybe the cubs of the bear from the other picture. Maybe she's bummed out that Lin isn't around? There's so much unexplained history with it that I love. I decided to pitch in a little towards your Patreon, though it's not much yet, but when I get more comfortable, I hope I can give more. You and your art certainly deserve the support.Β

Thank you very much! It's very motivating to find out when people really look at the drawings I do. Pieces like this are my favorite to work on, and often I am daydreaming about what could be happening, when I draw them. I am glad that it translates over to the people looking at it. I would like to move towards making comics, because I think I'll really be able to explore the story telling side of art more, and that's exiting.Β

Another... picture... of... the... CUTEST...Elf... on...DA! The tavern, or inn has a really homely feel to it where I feel like the elf is now for the most part safe, even though I didn't really get the sense that the bear would actually attack her in the other picture. It's obvious that some of the cookies are eaten (I almost hate how good my memory is because I can literally almost taste cookies like those right now), however it would appear to me that she's disappointed that she can't drink her hot chocolate because it's so hot. You sir did an excellent job at invoking even the slightest bit of emotion out of me.

I am super glad you got a lot from this! It's always my hope with these pieces to draw emotion from the viewer, or even just a memory. Very glad to hear it was effective. I look forward to being able to share more of such work.

I like it mostly because it's not a half-naked chick. Β Not that I mind that sort of thing, but there's a LOT of that around the internet if you know what I mean. Β xD Β Plus the focus of the light and the color contrast is all on her face and eyes, which you did with amazing style. Β All around just a superior piece of work, among superior works. Β

I totally agree, which is why it is one of my more favorite pieces, personally. I mean, hey, I enjoy doing sexy pinup work. I wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it. Also, I am aware that a large part of my audience prefers my pinup work to anything else I do. Never the less, I learned to draw so that I could create scenes that tell stories, and eventually tell grand stories of my own, via comics, or other such media. While "sexy" isn't something I will ever abandon, I would like to expand my work beyond simple works with sex appeal as the only content I produce.
