Description
After a refugee Harrier family was slain by the Feng Shen, a Harrier egg was left behind within Gyuki territory. A hunting party found the egg nestled within the roots of a tree often used as a landmark for their hunting trail. The egg was identified as a Harrier egg, so great care was taken in transporting the perishable item.
A Gyuki brave named Tatanka-ptecila gave the egg to his wife Ptesan-wi. Ptesan-wi is also the aunt of the recently-born Kyoko (known as Pte Winchinchala). Kyoko was born with the assistance of a Harrier scout party, thus having her secondary name: Kyoko. Gyuki (natively known as the Tatanka Oyate), are anatomically larger than standard humans; females tend to have much wider hips, therefore being able to give birth to calves at a much later time than the human standard of 9 months, and born ready to stand. Gyuki calves learn how to speak within a year, but they don't physically grow in size until their second year.
Ptesan-wi calved 3 weeks prior, but her calf was still-born. Her husband's gift (the Harrier egg) was almost a sign of their gods redemption. For 3 months, she incubated the egg with her bust (Gyuki are characteristically known to have larger than average mammaries, due to their bovine nature).
One night, the young Kyoko stole into her aunt's teepee, and became enthralled to the blueish-green egg in her aunt's embrace; she too felt the impulse to nestle herself against the fragile Harrier egg. Ever since the Harrier Takaji (locally named as Cetan Cikala) was still in his egg, he already created a bond with his life mate Kyoko.
When the Harrier egg hatched, the Gyuki foster mother found caring for the altricial Harrier hatchling challenging, as Harrier children are not known to be as ready and precocious as Gyuki children. But, she did feel a measure of relief as Kyoko spent more time with the Harrier hatchling than other calves of her age. Ptesan-wi foresaw the bond between the two would last a lifetime.

Thanks, but they're more like minotaurs.
