Description
First off I would like to thank `xbastex xbastex.deviantart.com/ for this awesome reference photo, Rescue Mission xbastex.deviantart.com/art/Res⦠.My last few drawings I have been messing around with ballpoint pen and decided to break out my Faber-Castell art pens for this one.

The greatest thing about this picture that it speaks volumes to people. It can mean so much, but it can never mean anything at all.
To me this bird is a Phoenix, a rare and beautiful bird that has found itself captured into human hands and unable to do anything about it. It's the perfect way to describe life.
You are a beautiful creature. A being that there can only ever be one of. But as life goes on, we'll eventually find ourselves at the mercy of one stronger and completely unmoving. And that's that.
There is nothing you can do. You cannot flee or try to flap free. All you can do is just to stay in one spot and hope that whatever holds you does not wring your neck.
