This is located across the street from the Maull's plant. The building was built in 1869 and some are calling this the most haunted restaurant in Missouri (that reminds me of a TV show in which one of the characters was bragging that the band he was in was the third most popular folk-rock band in New Zealand).

In 1981 M.M. Constantin published a book called Sidestreets and a section in the book talked about this community along North Broadway. There were restaurants and bars and shops of all sorts. There was a hotel and rows of homes. Since that time most of that community has disappeared and the area is now nothing but an industrial park. The area is mostly cut off from the rest of North St. Louis by Interstate 70. If it wasn't for that I would have expected vandals to have broken the sign and the windows by now, but there is just no one around except for the employees of the industrial park.
