Cape County’s Memorial Park Cemetery, near Cape Girardeau Missouri, January 25th, 2020.The Tower of Memories was built in 1934. It is 16 x 16 feet wide at the base and stands 57 feet tall. The first floor was to hold a office and the second and third floors were to house a "Celesta-Vox" that could reproduce the sounds of chimes and bells which supposedly could be heard a mile away.
No one, that I could find record of, remembers ever hearing the "Celesta-Vox", and the doors to the tower have been screwed shut.
