Description

The Ogre is a species of a towering being related to humans, dwarves, and elves. The Ogres are the third biggest sapient primates in Oominor after the Giants and Trolls. The male Ogres bear elongated lower fangs and keratinous mineralized spikes on the chin instead of a beard. Females find this sexual dimorphism as the most attractive part of the male, the longer the fangs and spikes are the healthier; thereby, the more inviting the partner is. If a male has short or, for some reason, lacks the fangs, he usually commissions a carving from an elephant bone; however, this act is considered androgynous and condemned in conservative Ogre society. The Ogres, unlike omnivorous humans and carnivorous elves, are primarily herbivorous. Their gross jaws are designed for crushing the seeds and grinding tough plant foods, indicating that the monstrous fangs are nothing but a simple display mechanism and cannot be utilized to pierce meat and bones.

Like kindred humans and elves, ogres vary in shapes and forms, possessing two visually diverse races: Jötnar and Gargantuas. Jötnar (plural for Jötunn) exhibit stocky bodies; the arms, chest, and shoulder axles as a whole are very well developed with extremely developed musculature. The face has rough, sharp outlines, but in general, it resembles human features, except for pointed ears, a square jaw, and protruding lower fangs. The Gargantuas are on the other hand are more slender in physique and prefer a more dry warm climate than Jötnar. This race numerously lives in Elven Imperium and makes up only a quarter of the population in Ogreand.

Commonly, Ogres are considered to be extremely intellectual and technologically advanced species; thus, despite their look, ogres are meek and more obsessed with developing radical new technologies and creating engineering miracles rather than participating in savage wars and political debates. The examples of their creations are a cable car system and primitive electricity maintained by Ridium. Royaume des Sept Régions, or simply Ogreand is a kingdom ruled by the Roi (King) and famed across Oominor as a country of sumptuous extravagance and conservative etiquette. In the Ogre kingdom, gothic luxurious clothes adorned by golden carvings are especially prized by nobles. Moreover, they certainly idolize their fangs garnishing them with golden thimbles increasing the relevance and emphasizing the wealth. Like everything in Ogreand, the Architecture is nothing but pomposity, Gothic and Rococo styles mixed to show that no expense is spared for rich materials and complexity of constructions.
