template: [link]Well this stamp sorta don't make sense with one side of the party, but here I go to explain it anyhows.

I know good and well I am contridicting myself here, no need to point it out.
Okay one: to the people that are complaining about the the people complaining about others faving with out commenting.
Honestly it is their art, not yours. If they want to bitch about not getting feedback than it's them. Some people perfer feedback on their art right along with a fav or no fav. I read some of their reasons behind this and I understand most of it. If you don't give a rats ass whether people fav without commenting than it's you. If people want to take it as an insult that people fav without reading the artists comments or commenting themselves than let them. Not everyone here thinks it is a compliment that someone favs without giving feedback.
Okay here is two: To the people that are complaining about the favs with no comments.
For the love of God, Gods, Buddha, or whomever you worship, you know damn good and well that alot of people here on Dev fav. and don't give feedback, so why in the world you will submit something knowing your art will be a victim of this if it is going to upset you? Or I get this alot, "But it is crap why are people faving it?" Ummm..... if it is crap and you hate it why did you submit it in the first place? Why isn't it in scraps?
And then with the stamps. "HOMG PEOPLE FAV BOMBING THE STAMPS WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE REST OF MY GALLERY" Ummmm........ yo, again, it is a no brainer that something like this will happen. If you make a stamp expect a bunch of favs okay? And if you don't want fav bombings to happen with it, then don't submit it at all.
Not too mention, I read on some stuff that people threaten to block you if you fav without commenting or if you fav period. Yeah...... make yourself look like an ass. I know I am now so you won't be the only one.
And then here is this "I TAKE THE TIME TO TYPE IT YOU SHOULD TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT". ummmmm not our fault you want to take the time to type shit up. I mean if you sit there and type a damn Benchmark Essay on your work, what makes you think we want to take the damn time to read it? "You won't understand this picture if you don't." Then let them miss out and be ignorant to a bliss about the true meaning of your works.
Have you all figured that maybe your complaining and saying "COMMENT IF YOU ARE GONNA FAV" complaints make people be more assholes and comment without faving anyhows to make you mad?
You know what? Dev has the options of disabling comments I wish they make disabling favs as well so people will shut the hell up about this. Though if they do then people will complain about the feature D:
and 3: I am nuetral on this whole damn situation. I don't give a rats ass if you fav my stuff without commenting, though again a comment is nice, but I am not gonna be annal about it. I said my 2 cents and I know I may get flamed for this but in reality, I can understand where both sides are getting at, but I mean for the love of God this is Deviantart, not Deviantcomplaint. This is supposed to be the place where you enjoy sharing your art with others and make new friends and keep in contact with you other friends and join clubs and enjoy the good times in those clubs.
Oh BTW, I do skim through or read through the artists comments. I do comment 98% the time I fav. I once was the person that whined about alot of favs on a certain work that took no time in making and looked not even half decent. But I am out of that now. I got bigger things to worry about than people faving without commenting.
I know if I submit something it is going to get more favs than comments, so why should I add another stress to myself by trying to fight with people and whine about people not commenting. I got much bigger issues to tend to, thank you.
IMO dev will be much more enjoyable site if people QUITE THEIR DAMN EFFIN COMPLAINING ALREADY.
PS: I know this is like a benchmark essay o_O; I won't blame any of you if you don't read. Not that it would bother me in begin with.

I once had a rant about how people should stop bitching about other people making drama because that just caused drama and in basics they were hypocrits
I'm totally for this stamp! I feel like they are just sad little kids that don't get it.
Most of the time I'm like who cares?! Like you said, I got bigger issues.
On the other hand I'm also like, you don't comment just fav? Well I'm not gonna go to your page and say thank you.
Because I don't really care about favs you know? if they comment I say thanks...even if I get 5 "cute" comments, I take the 2 seconds to comment back "thanks".
But that's just my view on the thing and I got the feeling I'm rambling

Okay, I want to lay down the line here. I don't care if people fave stamps. Heck, I ENCOURAGE people to fave mine. However, when one stamp has the most faves out of a gallery of 200+ works, it's frustrating. Very, very, VERY frustrating. It's kinda being judgemental. It's comparable to "Oh, I see this one work and that's pretty much what their entire gallery is, so I'm not gonna bother looking".
So the complaint is that they're getting faved in the first place, but the fact that it feels like that's the only thing people ever notice from the gallery.

And that is understandable. But you submit a stamp knowing that that is gonna happen anyways so it's like "I am gonna submit this stamp knowing people might just fav it without looking at the rest of my gallery and I know it's gonna stress me out and frustrate me." Don't you think by doing that, you are setting yourself up for your own frustration?
Yes it is awesome if someone takes the courtesy to look at the rest of your gallery, but if you submit a stamp you should have known way beforehand that people will fav it without looking at the rest of your gallery so why submit it anyhows knowing the results will frustrate you and tick you off later on if it gets the most recognition out your entire gallery?
That is my way of thinking things. Sorry if it seems a little cruel.

Actually, no, most people who make stamps DON'T have that sort of mindset. And therein lies the problem. There's no way to know. Some stamps get little recognition, while others get faving explosion. Though the same could be said for any deviation.

I am one of those people. As you can see *points to her many recent deviations* It does not bother me. I have fun making them and others like them....
But yes, the stamps do get treated like the other deviations. IMO it depends on how popular the artist is. I mean if a popular artist makes a stamp and write the word "Hi" down then they get about 20k plus favs on the spot and about 5k comments saying "LMAO" "PWNS" "SO USING THIS"
It's so sad it makes me laugh really. Actually reading what I just put down, makes me glad I am not popular. The favs won't bother me but having to read all those comments that says the same thing would get tirsome o_O;
