Personality: Everest is a determined mon who always strives to reach his goals. Once he sets his mind to something it's rare that he doesn't follow through with his plans. He can tend to be a bit rash at times thought, often rushing into things without thinking them through beforehand. He often has to be reeled in by others before he gets himself hurt. While he can be a bit reckless at times he means well. Everest is about one of the most loyal mons one could meet and once someone has that loyalty it's hard to lose it, though it can be quite hard to earn as he's a bit of a suspicious person at first. He won't trust someone right off the bat in other words, he's got to learn that they have good intentions. He'd defend his friends until the end if he had to though. Also quite the jokester, Everest quite enjoys trying to be funny and can almost always be known to crack a stupid joke or two. His old habit of wanting to keep others safe is ever prominent and he tends to be quite protective of others, often taking on a guardian role of sorts.

Bio: Everest was born in a small forest. He hatched with a mightyena and never knew his biological parents, but found out from the mightyena (known as Kura) that they were a flareon and dragonair. His egg had been been taken in by Kura upon his parents just suddenly vanishing one day, apparently they had never been what you'd call "caretakers". And thus Kura took over the role as his mother.

Ever always strived to be strong so that he could protect Kura. She was always frail despite being a fairly young pokemon, she was better at taking care of others than she was fighting or defending herself. Unfortunately she also had a pretty weak immune system and when she got sick it was often very hard for her to fight it off. That's what happened, she became sick one day and Ever watched in dismay as she only got worse and worse.

Neither of them were ever really sure what she was sick with. But she coughed a lot and seemed to be really short of breath. She often had to stop and take long breaks even when doing small tasks such as picking berries. Near the end of her days, her legs ached so much that she couldn't stand without support of some sort. Kura was an ever sweet soul and didn't like her son to see her suffer, and so she put on the bravest face she could and rarely complained. She could barely walk? Okay but have you eaten Everest? Are you okay? Do you need anything?

He wasn't stupid thought. He could see how much her health was faltering and he almost wasn't surprised when he returned home one day to find Kura unmoving and not responding to him at all. He'd expected this, he told himself when he started to cry over her, he shouldn't be sad, he was stronger than this.

Everest had no trouble living on his own but he found that the absence of his mother made him very lonely. He discovered the hideout one day when he ran into a couple of recruits. He decided to join them eventually for a couple of reasons. First, he figured they'd have to give him training of some sort, and that could make him stronger. Kura wasn't here for him to protect anymore, but he could still get stronger and make her proud right? Not to mention things might not be as lonely anymore, maybe he'd even meet some friends. And so he put his little forest home behind him and joined the hideout.
