Before: get your youtube playlist ready to jam. This one was created to music by Marina and the Diamonds.

1.) Get a plant reference and a pose in mind. Try to jot down the general shape and try to figure out the movement. Lower the opacity, then make a new layer.

2.) Redline your work. Get out the kinks before you line. Lower the opacity, then make a new layer.

3.) Line your work! When you're done, either delete or hide the sketch layers.

4.) Use the select tools inside the lines to quickly fill in color. By layering other layers on this layer, experiment with brushes and colors. For this one I used the watercolor tool, but when the mood hits ill switch to the acrylic brush of SAI.

5.) Lastly, I just like to make the drawing look slightly less flat, just as a personal preference
