At first I didn't think it was a real prosthetic, then I noticed how sh's holding her other hand to operate the prosthetic hand. I've got a bunch of buddy's that ended up without limbs... I think a photo such as this will get a couple of them out of the slump, and self pity they are in, and kick their asses into getting back to life... Thank you, and if you can thank Julie.

It was an amazing experience to explore the beauty of prosthetics. When i first met Julie i ask her what was the most difficult thing to do when you a have a prosthetic arm, her answer was eating steak. That's how i cam up with this ideal... Julie is one special person!!!
I hope your buddies get to see this, prosthetic are beautiful!!!!

I'm not quite sure the prosthetic is beautiful, it's the way the people with the prosthetic overcome the implied limitations, that is truly beautiful to me.

This is an amazing photo! I love that, at first glance, it doesn't seem like any of it can be real! But it's wonderful to have a model like this- and she is SO beautiful!

amazing lighting and the models face is amazing, she seems surreal. great effect. the hook arm is it real? it seems it looks a little more plastic.

what is real and what is fiction.
anyway, great postproduction job, the final effect is really interesting. i wonder how you did it. possibly lot of baby oil, strong light and tons of photoshop, right?
just one little issue, the left hand, the fingers look a little too blurred.

Everything is pretty much real exept for a bit of retouching on the crack, strong rap around light and and baby oil gave the plastic effect on the skin.
I did use a photoshop filter to enhance the effect but very little. I not super pleased with the final skin texture but my photoshop skill suck so it is what it is!
The result was more about the concept!
