Description
So I was pretty excited for the release of ARMS on the Nintendo Switch. With the Wii U, I wasn't as interested in the new IP Splatoon, but this new IP really got me excited. The game was basically a new-fashioned boxing game, and the game just oozed personality. These were characters with such unique, interesting designs, in a world that seemed interesting to explore. So I was the first to buy a copy at my local Target, and I got myself a second set of Joy-Cons so my parents and I could play together. While they haven't had much interest in playing the game, I've been playing it very frequently. Much like with the boxing games in WiiSports and WiiFit, it's a really good workout, and it surprisingly requires a lot more thought than just "PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH!" I've tried out every single character, and have beaten Level 1 Grand Prix with each of them. And, much like I hypothesized , Mechanica is my favorite to play as, but Byte & Barq are my best (though I'm also not too bad with Ribbon Girl). I'm really looking forward to seeing the DLC characters we get. It would be hilariously awesome if we got a crossover character such as Little Mac or Lanky Kong, but I don't know if Nintendo will do that. For now, I will just enjoy playing as the Scrapyard Scrapper, Clockwork Cops, and "Man" of Mystery.I've been working on this picture prior to my purchase of the game, so it was based only on pre-release information. The idea for this drawing came from the fact that Mechanica is a big fan of Ribbon Girl. There are several references to this throughout Grand Prix mode, as well as several Ribbon Girl stickers around Mechanica's scrapyard. So I thought it would be amusing to draw Mechanica asking for an autograph from her idol right in the middle of a fight. Right in the middle of having grabbed Ribbon Girl seemed like the most ideal time for Mechanica to pop the question, apparently.

The background is actually more elaborate than what's shown here, but I had to move it down so the height of Mechanica and Ribbon Girl would make sense.

Aww, this is so adorable to see this! Nice to see that some people like Mechanica! (I like her too!)
And this drawing reminded me of an official artwork that Nintendo posted this awesome artwork of Ribbon Girl doing an autograph for Biff (while Mechanica watches the whole thing in disbelief. XD) on Twitter! twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/st…
Aside from what I said, nice drawing as usual!

Thank you, Gustavo.
I do feel Mechanica is very underrated. I see so many pictures of Ribbon Girl, Min Min, and especially Twintelle, yet I see so few pictures of Mechanica. Well, hopefully, as time goes along, we'll see more of her.
I've seen that artwork before. In fact, I think that may have been my inspiration for this drawing. Poor Mechanica, wanting Ribbon Girl's autograph...

No problem!
And agreed. I'm sure we will see more artwork of Mechanica soon.
And that's good to hear!
