While my parents and I were in Seattle, we checked out the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum. As the unabbreviated name suggests, it is a museum about music. There was an exhibit about Hendrix, Nirvana, as well as a studio where you could play your favorite songs on guitar and other instruments. However, that's not all the museum has to offer. There's also a section about horror movies, science fiction, and a new section about fantasy. But the first exhibit we saw was called "Indie Revolution," sponsored by Nintendo. It's a room full of different indie games for different platforms, such as Wii U, PC, and surprisingly, XBOX ONE. I tried a couple of them, such as Runbow and one game where you create a public transport system. But the first one I played and the one that stood out most in my mind was Fast Racing Neo.
Fast Racing Neo is a racing game by the German developer Shin'en Multimedia. In it, you race around in futuristic hovercars and use boost pads and boost orbs to zoom your way to victory. The best way I could describe it is like F-Zero without the health system. When you crash in FRN, you merely get sent back aways, similar to Mario Kart or the SEGA All-Stars Racing games. One of the things I like about it compare to F-Zero is that the controls are much tighter, which is the main reason I don't like F-Zero GX as much as everyone else. On the other hand, I feel the game lacks the personality F-Zero has with its wide cast of memorable characters, instead having each car represent a different fictional company (which is a cool idea, though I'd like to get to know who's representing the company or what the company does).
Given that it is very much like F-Zero, I thought it would be fun to draw Jet, Captain Falcon's son, playing the game with Candy. Since I already went ahead and bought the game, I imagine she'd have it available to play whenever she wants to. Even though Candy and Jet are childhood friends, I don't imagine Jet being the kind of person who would enjoy coming over to play video games with Candy. But she knows he'd enjoy playing it.
