I cannot remember the last time I played a Tekken game. I suppose part, if not most, of it is that the only Tekken game I own is for the Wii U, and when I've got games like Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, etc...Tekken just doesn't interest me as much as those other games. And I say that with no disrespect to the series or its fans.
I think the thing I like the most about the Tekken series are the characters. The series has some of the silliest character concepts outside of Smash Bros., yet they still work within the universe it sets up. It's a series with a boxing raptor, a robot girl, an angel with laser vision, a guy who became fat to fight better, a fighting robot, two guys who can become the Devil, two terminator-type robots, a dude who ate a tomohawk in the OVA, a grizzly bear, a spoiled rich girl, a wooden puppet, a panda, a family of boxing kangaroos, and a butler who fights like a graceful ballerina as just some of its characters. It's like a crossover game, except it's all the same series.
I don't have a lot of ships for the series since I don't play it much. There is one that I really like, though: Alisa X Ling. Their interactions the endings of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, as well as in Tekken Blood Vengeance, show that they're very close. A little too close for just friends, in fact. I think that they might secretly have a crush on each other. I've drawn them as a couple before, as have others, but I don't think anyone has drawn them kissing. Like I've said before, I think kissing should be a sign of strong affection. So I decided to draw the two kissing, showing how much they love each other.
