Description
I've said before that Shy Guy is my favorite character in Mario Tennis 64. But there's a lot of other characters I enjoy in the game. There's Waluigi, Daisy, Paratroopa, and I even like Peach in the game. And while I don't like it as much, I also have several more characters I like in Mario Power Tennis, such as Fly Guy, Wiggler, and Petey Piranha. That's the reason why I was let down by Mario Tennis Open, because they got rid of Shy Guy, Fly Guy, Paratroopa, Wiggler, and Petey. The only new character in that game I liked was Luma, but I still would've preferred Rosalina. And while I'm happy Rosalina and Toadette got into Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, that game had so little substance to it that not even Rosalina can bring me back to it.One thing that's strange is that while Toad was in 64, he wasn't in another Mario Tennis until Ultra Smash. Considering Toad's importance and presence in Mario games, spin-off or not, it seems strange that he would not be a staple in the series the way Waluigi and Daisy are. And from what I've read, both Toad and Toadette were planned for Mario Power Tennis, which makes it even stranger that both of them weren't in the series until Ultra Smash.
I thought it might be interesting if Waluigi Guy brought his best friend, Toadette Gal, to a tennis match staring his crush, Waluigi. She decided to bring her brother, Toad Guy, along. The two struck up a conversation about becoming tennis players themselves.
