Description
Elusive and sigma stared sadly at their freind through the small square of the steel cell door in the cnaterlot dungeons. they saw the rays of noon sun gently hitting her body. they were fully able to see what she had become and it broke their hearts.

Sigma: "im awful glad Koden isnt here to see this..."

Elusive; "Yeah, me too."

they glanced at her once more.
she was less and less pony with each passing moment. her body was now fully bark, her beautiful mane and tail were now replaced with leaves and twigs, and her horn was compeltly bark as well, bent back and jagged and still filled with powerful magic. The curse only combined with her unicnorn magic, amplifying its power. They were saddened at the fact that she was becoming more and more timberwolf and less pony. she was fading and she was fading fast.
Princess Celestia came up behin the two stallions, speaking in her usual calm and kind tone, "Elusive, Sigma, Come. My gaurds will keep an eye on her and during the night my sister and her night gaurds shall take over the shift watching her."

Sigma:
-.....forces himself to walk away-

Elusive:
-walks away, following his mother-
"Mother....we need to find a cure for her. quickly."

Celestia;
"i know. we will. thats what you came here for is it not?"

Elusive:
"Right..."
-ears droop back-

Celestia led the two to an old library in the canterlot castle.
she sat them down at a table and sat across from them.

Celestia:
"Listen closely and listen well, this isnt the first time something like this has happened."

Elusive:
"What? not the first time?"

celestia:
"i shall explain another time and i will tell you the story but time is of the essence. the fact that this has happened before means that there is the possibility of a cure. Maybe."
-stands-
-levitating a book over to the desk with her magic-
"Here."
-points to a page in the open book-
"It says here that those with the curse have only a few days before they become a full timberwolf and remain that way forever. you mentioned that you only have what remains of today and this night, right?"

sigma:
-nods-

Elsuive:
"Yes, mother."

Celestia:
"alright. well, like i said there is the possibility of a cure and this is only for thos ponies so deep in the curse like your friend. and i think i may have found it but it has to be given to her before sunrise or it will not work."

Elusive:
"how did you manage to find it so quickly?"

Celestia:
"i had many ponies helping me. And, every one of my subjects is important to me. if i can help out in any way i will do my best to help."

Elsuive smiled warmly at his mother as he thanked her. and she gave her kind smile back to her son.

Sigma:
"Alright, so what do we gotta do? what do we need to get Rose back?"

Celestia;
" the ingredients are odd and may be difficult but they are the things you will need to help her. the more diffcult ones your father and i will take care of."

Elusive and sigma;
-nod-

Celestia:
"Alright. you will need four leaves of a poison joke flower, the blood of the cursed and the timberwolf that turned her and something of her pony self."

Sigma:
"i can get the poison joke leaves from Zecora and Zen."

Celestia:
"With the help of your father you might be able to get a few drops of blood from Rose. wed just need a syringe. we can get that from the royal family doctor."
-looks at Elusive-

Sigma:
"Oh! i can also get something of her old self. would some strands of her mane work?"

Celestia:
"i think that would be perfect. after that wed only need the blood of the timberwolf that turned her."

Sigma;
"But how will we manage that? even Rose didnt see a timberwolf attack her and she wasnt even sure how one manage to scratch her in the first place without her noticing."

Celestia:
"It is said in this book that one the last night of the curse, when the moon is at its highest, the one that turned her will come for her."

Sigma;
"Come for her? for what?"

Celestia:
"either to add her to the pack or kill her..."
Elusive:
-eyes open wide-
"we cannot let either of those things happen!"

Celestia:
"your father and i can take care of gtting the timberwolf cornered and your aunt Luna and uncle can focus on providing extra security should Rose and the timberwolf somehow get past us. your father will hold it down and i will get the blood from it."

Elusive:
"Sounds like a plan mother."

Celestia:
"Good. then we need to work quickly. we have very little time left."

Sigma and Elusive:
-nods-

Sigma:
"so i'll grab the leaves and a part of her old pony self."

Elusive:
"My family and i will take care of getting the blood from Rose and the timberwolf that cursed her."

Sigma;

-nods-
"We need to tell the others we found a cure."

Celestia:
"i will send a messege to spike. he will get it to them."

Elusive:
"Mother, thank you so much for your help."
-hugs her

Celestia:
-hugs him back-
"Of course, Love."

Elusive:
"Alright, lets get to getting Roses blood while shess till unconscious."

Sigma;
'Ill be heading out then. well be meeting back here tonight right?"

Elusive:
-nods-

Sigma;
"alright."

sigma spread out his large dragon wings and took off. he set out for ponyville first and would then make his way back through the everfree forest and then to the castle.Celestia sent a letter to spike and Twilight, onforming them that theuy had found a cure and to inform the others.
a few minutes after sending the letter and asking tje royal family doctor for a syringe, Clesita and Elusive made their way to the dungeons. Rose was already half awake, due to the sun shinging through and waking her up.
Elusive, using his magic to levitate the syringe, glanced at his mother as she quietly told a guard to unlock the door to her cell. it made such a loud creaking noise that it was a miracle Rose did not even move. Celestia and her son carefully and cautiously stepped inside the cell. Elusive carefully examined his friend, seeing that there was now no place to get the blood from for she now had the skin of a timberwolf. Elusive glanced at his mother as he carefully walked in front of her. his mother had her magic ready in case anyhting happened.Elusive exmained her one more and saw that a tiny piece of her pony skin remained on her neck. he sighed to himself.

Elusive:
"here goes nothing..."

-Mutters

Elsuive carefully injected the needle into her neck, quickly finding the vein. Roses bodyu twtched at the small sting in her neck. Elusive gathered up enough of her blood and as he was quietly making his way back to his mother as he felt movement behind him.

Celestia;

'Elusive!"

with her magic she shot at Rose, sending her crshing back into the cell wall. Elsuive and his mother quickly made their way out before the timberwolf pony could figure out what was going on.

Elusive:

"lucky for us, she seemed much slower."

Celestia:
"i read that during the last day of the curse the final parts of transforamtion are painful. so perhaps that is why her speed has reduced."

Elusive:
-watches her slowky walking around as she stares at them with her glowing green eyes
"She must be in a lot of pain then..."

Celestia:
"Her pain will soon be over once we have all the ingredients."

Elusive:
"i sure hope so mother. none of us can take seeing her like this any longer."

Celestia:
"Well, we have her blood. let's put this somewher safe until sigma comes back with the other ingredients and until we can get the final ingredient from the timberwolf that turned her."

Elusive;
"Yes, mother."
-walks away with her, glances back at Roses cell.

Through the small square of her door, The timberwolf pony, his friend, stared at him with menacing and bloodthristy glowing green eyes as he walked away .in that moment Elusive realized that the night didnt need to come to know that his friend was already gone. it was only a matter of time before the transformation was complete. his hope was fading. and fear filled his heart.
