Description "Into the wild blue yonder."

It's a little more "Pop Art" than I usuaally do, but I have been really bogged down by homework, which means a minimum of six hours a day per class drawing either Realistic humans, or busting my valves trying to digitally paint photo realism.
The past week, this Gal has been my therapy. Every time I get burned out, I have done a little more work on her.
Besides, I have been needing an "Americana Pick-Me-Up" with all the anti-American crap hitting the fan this week.

Hope you all dig it.

Please,
Enjoy my work, but do not take it for your own. If I find out you stole my art, I will come to your home and beat you to death with a torque wrench.

I must say, this is my favorite- especially being in the military, and the fact that I used to draw pin-ups myself. Thanks for posting this, it made my day.

Most certainly!
As goofy as it might sound, your art helps me keep going. Thanks for sharing it with us, as said, it's inspiring.

Actually, this is my first week using photoshop, (which is why homework has been so rough) Have any tips, or Know of any places online that might?

well, you can scan your own textures (from different papers to watercolour or ink stains...) and add them later on different photoshop levels, playing with multiply/ovelay/lighten ecc!

you can also find a lot of websites with nice textures scanned: [link]

take a look at gallery, his works are digitally coloured with textures added to create an "analog" feeling. i think he's great!
maybe you can find a few step-by-step tutorials on his page...

Thank you, Jess!
Glad you approve.
When it comes to Pin-Ups, you're one of my success compasses. See, if you approve, I feel like I've done allright.

-By the way, you can expect to see plenty more art therapy before this semester is over.
