Holy jeethuths! This picture is ancient!I was, once again, going through my art files and I found this!
aaah, gotta love Nuala and Abe.
Course.... I wouldn't like a fishy touching me... bleck. Too many bad memories with picking up my fishes when they jump out of there bowls, slimy... XD

Awwww.....Abe was the only reason I loved those movies. He was such a cutie, especially AFTER they removed that apparatus in the second movie and had Doug Jones do the voice. David Hyde Pierce rocked, but Doug made him more believable, I guess.
Have you seen the animated movies? There's more Abe/Liz shipping in "Sword of Storms."

I wonder why they had a voice over for the first movie in the first place??? Maybe the costume wasn't easy to talk in? Not too sure, I haven't watched the special features on that one yet

It's a cute story, actually. You see, David Hyde Pierce was going to be the original voice anyway. Doug Jones still performed as him and, obviously, read the lines before they dubbed his voice for Pierce's. But Pierce saw the footage and was very impressed with Jones' performance that he asked for his name to be removed from the credits. He felt that Jones captured Abe's personality and character far better than he did by just providing the voice. I'm sure that suit was uncomfortable, even though he's done tons of prosthetic characters in movies.
So yeah, props for Pierce! That was darn noble of him! And the animated movies ROCK! They're a good combo of the comics and the movies. "Blood and Iron" is my favorite, but "Sword of Storms" had some good parts.
