Description
-General Information-Character Code: 75 | Story: To All the Stars in the Sky
Name: Taurus Alias/es: The Bull, King of the Dawn, The Guardian of the East
Alignment: Kingdom of Nus (formerly, past life) Laitseles, Kingdom of The Sun, The Zodiacs--Eastern Guards
-Description-
Taurus is a tall, muscular man with messy blonde-and-brown hair and has dark brown eyes. He has a faded scar from his duel with Aries from his jaw to his right eye rendering it useless during his time as a mortal. It healed and he also gained bull horns after being immortalized. Taurus enjoys and is more comfortable wearing armor, always having his sturdy emerald-beryl platings on. He wears dark clothing underneath, along with black combat boots. He also has a leather belt bag with the symbol on it. Taurus' more formal outfit (which he generally dislikes and wears only at the Kingdom meetings) consists of an emerald-green robe with a mint-colored lacing and yellow buttons. Taurus is always seen wearing his Dawn Cape which also reflects his emotions, turning more orange when angered or excited, and more pinkish when calmer.
As expected of the Zodiac of the Bull, Taurus is strong-willed yet unsurprisingly very stubborn. He is very devoted to his job as King of the Dawn and is very responsible, but is often getting into trouble because of his pride. He is confident in all his actions, and often goes into business headfirst with no help, usually getting himself into ten different kinds of trouble. Yet even if this is one of his more negative traits, he somehow manages to finish the job. Taurus usually shows only happiness or anger, and seems to be emotionally stable--even when many of his family died when he was young, he seemed to be fine. He heavily dislikes changes and generally dislikes superstitions and spiritual things, believing only in what he sees and the truth. Taurus enjoys flirting with women and other more domestic pleasures like cooking and gardening.
-History-
-Mortal Childhood-
In the monarchic Kingdom of Nus, Taurus was the thirteenth son of the ruling King at the time. Six of his brothers fell ill from the plague that swept through the land before he was born, and four more fell in the battlefield. Soon, his father was bed-ridden from old age and sickness, leaving his sons to take care of the Kingdom. Taurus' eldest brother, Auriga, was kind to him--and thought highly of him. He and Auriga didn't want to lead the Kingdom, often running away from their studies much to his brother's the King's displeasure. The jealous and arrogant second born, name lost to Enacrian legend--had enough. He asked one of the palace servants to poison Taurus' and Auriga's wine discreetly, to secure his place for the throne. They both fell ill. Taurus healed quickly, having only sipped a bit of the wine, but Auriga went quick. Their father died of grief, leaving Taurus with his old mother and greedy brother.
-King of Nus-
After the devastating loss of many family members, Taurus fled to the forest and went missing for days and came back without a scratch. Little did they know, in the depths of the Mystian Forest was an ancient temple praising the sun, with shimmering crystals more exquisite than gold. At this point, the Kingdom of Nus was nearly at anarchy, his brother had spent most of the kingdom's money on entertainment. Soon, his brother wondered where Taurus went and why he came back perfectly safe. He called on one of his loyal servants to spy on Taurus. They quickly reached the temple, and the servant was seized by golden snakes and was given to Taurus. No accounts of the servant appeared later in Enacrian legends.
A few years later, when Taurus was thirteen, at that point his brother had turned Nus into a dystopia. Taurus was well aware of this, and by Nus custom, challenged his King--his greedy brother. With his willpower, he managed to usurp the throne. In legend, he was the first King of Nus to ever usurp the throne.
-Dawn of the Bull-
Years later at age 27, on his way to a kingdom meeting in the western deserts, he stumbles upon a merchant from a corrupt country. Realizing that the merchant was to smuggle dangerous arms into Nus, he quickly tries to stop him but ends up being captured himself.
For five years, he disappeared off the face of Enacra, with only a few unconfirmed sightings of him around the East and West parts of Enacra.
After the great silence, he came back to Nus and quickly usurps the current King at the time and reigns for many years, growing his kingdom and winning every duel for leadership in the arena, earning his moniker of The Bull.
-The Bull and the Ram: Bull-
When he was in his early forties, the Golden Ram, Aries (as a child) appeared in his Kingdom, offering him immortality. Not wanting to outlive his kingdom and possibly see it fall, he refuses Aries' offer many times, to the point of banning him from the Castle grounds. He was already at peace that Aries had given up, when the Ram appears and challenges Taurus to a duel--with conditions set by Aries in legend:
"For whoever loses,
The immortal come mortality,
The mortal come immortality and his Kingdom safety."Taurus, confident that he'd win and pleased with the idea that Aries will become human accepted. He called his people to his Colosseum to watch him win--boasting of his title. They fought with no holds barred, but Taurus--still just a human then, ultimately got defeated by Aries, getting his eye heavily injured.
Taurus pressures Aries into killing him by slicing his head off, to which Aries refuses and leaves for his home.
Taurus dies in his sixties, but Aries, true to his word, informs Lady Nova about his passing and Taurus is reincarnated into the Star Spirit of the Bull.
-Trivia-
Taurus enjoys gardening and is often seen tending the palace garden when upset, usually singing terribly.
While he can talk to most land animals, he seems to be able to understand some birds and a few fish.
