Ahhh! I had so much fun with this. At first it was just a sketch, but then I couldn't help myself, I just had to keep playing with it in photoshop. It's nothing fancy, but I like how it turned out. (By the way, JullietteDemonch this doesn't mean you have to make my sketch all fluffy and fancy and photoshopped, I just got carried away )

These two guys belong to from this adorable collage piece she made of the elephant nutcracker - [link] (Adorable!)

Here I imagined that the Nutcracker Elephant Prince has been free'd from his horrible enchantment after defeating the wicked mouse king. (And I'm sure we are all aware that elephant's are terrified of mice! Sworn enemies!)

Of course, he'd never have been able to defeat the mouse king if it weren't for the actions of the brave elephant maiden Clara. In gratitude, he has placed the crown of his defeated enemy at her little elephant feet. Now they snuggle trunks as they prepare to embark to the Elephant Prince's kingdom of sweets and dreams and dolls.

I'm just in love with the idea of a little elephant ballerina, it's so adorable. They're so big, but I can imagine them being so elegant and graceful as well. Cute!

I got carried away with the photoshopping, but I was trying to invoke the idea of a faded photo, mostly washed out, faded tones. It made things seem dreamy and far away, as though it were something that had happened long ago, but still existed as a sweet, dreamy memory.

These two belong to , but the drawing belongs to me, no stealing from either of us. You know, elephant ballerina's may be graceful, but they still weigh a ton, and they can easily step on you, so 'zah!
