I USE PRISMACOLOR PENCILS
2-3 PER BIT USUALLY
A LIGHT AND A DARK
AND A BLENDER

I think I have some prismacolor pencilsΒ
but I can't color so it never turns out great

Color it in lightly, and then just use the blender over it. Never looks good at first, then it pops out like in here after blending.

Markers are nice though because it's a constant color like you don't have to press harder or lighter to get the same shade overall
