So basically Adrian and Kestrel are Irene's parents who were salughetered by Sanguis after they were caught in their territory and refused to join as thralls

Kestrel had a litter with another male before she met Adrian. After that they had 3 litters, the last being Irene and her little deceased sibling. The last birth damaged Kestrel's health, resulting in her going blind. So basically, she's never seen her last daughter and only listened to her beloved mate's descriptons of her. She relied entirely on Adrian and was slowly falling depressed. She couldn't defend her family against Sanguines as well.
The family had a caring and loving relationship within with Adrian being the strict one and Kestrel being a gentle mother figure she was :3
So Irene obviously takes after her mom in basically everything: lithe build, cheek fur, eye colour, the spot on the tail and ear tufts, but at the same time has Adrian's eyes, thick fur, dark tailtip and a bit of his determination ~
