Description
You walked into the cell room to see Loki with his back turned to you."I guess you haven't died yet." You spoke nonchalantly as you typed in the code to open the door out.
He turned to you confused at you leaving the door wide open.
Is this some elaborate scheme? Is she trying to deceive me for some unidentified purpose? Damn why is she so stoic all the time?!
"Calm down Dracula, you're allowed to have your own quarters now." You replied.
He blinked slowly, still lacking any faith to move forward.
"Unless you and Mr. Cell want to remain together. Maybe if I invite some female agents in there you can all start singing Cell Block Tango." you wondered.
"What are you spouting out now?" Loki didn't understand.
"You have five seconds to leave the cell or otherwise you're stuck here." You decided.
Without a second thought he walked out and you pressed the code again to close it.
"That was fun. Now, let me show you to your suite." You lead the way.
"Are you, always like this?" Loki asked.
"Yes, I always walk while my shoes are tied." You answered.
Rolling his eyes he pressed again. "What I meant to say was, are you always so...so...?"
"Serene in the vicinity of a nefarious criminal." You finished his question while being slightly surprised he couldn't ask the question himself.
"Correct." Loki responded.
"You're obstinate and I'm passive. It's just what it is." You shrugged as you came to living area.
"This is where you'll be eating or conversing with the other Avengers. Which I know you'll achieve spectacularly." Your sarcasm rang through.
"As if I would spend time with these unworthy idiots." Loki snarled.
"At least I don't look like a hybrid of a reindeer." a new voice chimed in.
They both turned to see Stark walk in with Bruce at his side like best friends.
"Stark," Loki spat venomously and then turned to you. "You knew he would walk in here?"
"I heard him but I didn't care." you responded.
"So (Nickname), you showing Reindeer Games around?" Tony asked.
"Yes, then we can do the Charleston after watching Leprechaun." You stated.
"I got that!" another new voice was heard.
This time they saw Steve who's eyes lit up after an old reference.
"I...I know that!" he awkwardly spoke.
"Did you come back from South East Asia?" Bruce asked.
"Yeah, no luck." his voice sounded tired.
"Do you guys want to hear about Carrie Underwood's legs?" Tony suddenly asked.
Insane Tony being a ladies man was your cue to get out.
"Let's get to your room already, you can party with these wild things later." You suggested.
"March, fast." Loki agreed, not wanting to spend another second with them. They were almost as bad as the Warriors Three.
~*~
You opened the door and let him go in first. It was decent. A good amount of space with a bed, some drawers and a special book shelf with three books.
"Books?" Loki slowly picked the three books up.
"Yes, I picked them out myself. They were at a bookstore and I decided to get you some so you can learn while you're away from Asgard." you responded.
Mother did the same....
His eyes widened at the mere thought of you knowing a weakness about him. However, your eyes didn't show anything and you began talking as if you didn't hear what he was thinking.
"This book is pretty good." you held up the book with a title that captured Loki's eye.
"The Prince?" Loki wondered.
"Read it yourself and draw your own conclusion. The other two were on sale but they looked good. Next time of buying The Castle of Otranto or Death and The Maiden I'll give some good 'ole Green Eggs & Ham instead." you handed the books to him.
He decided to ignore that and focus above at the strange silverfish item in the ceiling.
"That's a room chime. I was bored while putting things in hear and decided to put one up. Not one of my most intelligent ideas." You explained.
He gave a small nod as you walked towards the door.
"By the way, be careful if Bruce or Tony come in here to try and experiment on you in the middle of the night." you warned.
And if I mistook them for a feral intruder, what kind of guest would I be?
Unknowing to Loki, you gave a twitch of a smile but then frowned before leaving.
The room chime fell down and plopped onto the ground.
Loki stared at it for a moment and thought.
I know exactly how you feel.
