Description not bad for an hour of work.. I guess.. I still need to smooth out the branches.. they are a little kinked... anyway.. its small.. about 3 inches, maybe 4, tall... copper wire.. and placed on some sort or crystal.. not sure exactly what it is.. its purple but crystal clear in the middle can't see it much in this photo but you can see the clear right at the base of the roots

anywho I will upload you a better picture once I straighten all the branches out.. and hopefully get a better photo of the rock too

Very cool tree. I know just how difficult it is to make a willow.

that's neat, I see alot of gemstone wire trees, so this is pretty cool because it a weeping willow *my favorite tree*
If the stone below is purple and clear, if that's what you say and what I think it looks like, It's purple Fluorite. A rare mineral because they closed down so many fluorite mines. *I know this because my brother owns a quartz crystal mine and is a power-seller on eBay* Only a one mine has opened up again.

Thanks I'm glad you liked it.. Yea my husband told my that's what he though it was too.. I just wasn't sure you know... most of the stones I have used were mined here in TN.. in a zinc mine.. the closed down recently though...

Yeah, it's Fluorite. It's a very cool stone. Where in TN do you live? I live in NC. Just curious.

Yeah I know Cookville. I used to travel from NC to AR because my brother lives out there. That's cool!

I am intrigued by how you twist wire, it looks so smooth. Very Cool.

It's really hard to get a good balance of size when making wire trees, and this is among the better attempts I've seen. Willows are hard, I think, because of their flexibility. Most other trees, when stripped of their leaves, have branches that are stiff, while Willows go up, and then just dangle, so capturing their movement becomes more difficult. But this is quite recognizable as a willow, through and through.

Thank you so much for that comment.. right now its being used as an experimental tree for a bit.. I'm trying to see how it would look a little "windswept"

You're welcome.
It's certainly easier to experiment with wire than with many other mediums.

Beautifully done. I think weeping willows are the most difficult.

Thanks.. I totally thought this tree would be easy.. but it wasn't I still have to smooth out the wires.. there all a mess and just look like hanging spaghetti lol

Your welcome. Like I say, I think weeping willows are difficult because of the way the wire has to be just so. Yours is looking so great.
