Description

Officer Storm rose to her paws and looked at the scene of what happened. Officer Storm knew that every few hours of the day, water would come into this tunnel, effectively washing away any trace of her being there or any other evidence left behind.

Officer Storm knew she left her badge behind when she killed Agent Red, but Officer Storm didn't care now. The corruption in this city was becoming too fierce, and Officer Storm was carrying out justice once and for all, and she could only hope that her wits could carry out justice for everyone who deserves it.

At the end of the tunnel, Officer Storm came to an empty beach just ahead, and the tunnel had a waterfall pouring out. She rinsed her wounds from the fight and tried covering up the bite mark as best as possible until it wasn't noticeable anymore.

"Why did Agent Red have to do that?" Officer Storm thought. She paid attention to her surroundings to see if there weren't any cameras nearby that might be watching. Once she was sure the coast was clear, she flew back towards a different part of town where she needed to visit Midnight. Gwendolyn's mentor and teacher from when Gwendolyn was younger, so Officer Storm could gain insight into everything and seek helpful advice on figuring out everything that's been happening lately.

Officer Storm couldn't stop thinking when she broke Agent Red's neck. She didn't want to kill him, but he left her no choice. "He knew who killed Blitz!" she thought. Officer Storm kicked the ground with a paw. "Why did that have to go down that way? I wish Agent Red had made it easier,"

Officer Storm shook her head, and she walked toward 9th street.

It was a mile to Midnight's residence, and Officer Storm felt like taking a break from everything happening around her. She wanted to try something she'd do on her schedule to help take her mind off things. Arrest someone. Officer Storm still had her badge hidden away, and she scanned the area for anything happening.

Nothing.

"This is so boring," she thought as she watched a couple from across the street and a few young dragons playing with each other across the road.

Officer Storm turned to her left, and she saw Venom and his friends walking down the street.

"Ah, watch out," Venom whispered. He quietly spoke to his friends as they came up on Officer Storm. "That's a cop right there. I've seen her before," The one friend who showed remorse when Venom and his friends were harming Blitz had somewhere he needed to be. "Alright, I'll catch you guys later. I have someone I need to meet," he said. Venom looked at him funny. "Do you?" Venom replied. Venom raised his tail toward him and patted him on his shoulder. "Do you have to be somewhere? Spots?" Spots nodded his head, and he pointed at a store across the street. "Yeah, I met this girl at the park yesterday, and she told me to meet her there." Venom and his friends laughed. "Is she hot?" Venom asked. "Could we go see her?" Spots scoffed. "Ah, come on, Venom, lay off of him. If Spots wants to see someone, he can. See you later, Spots,"

Spots waved his tail at them, and he turned around and speed-walked away to find his friend.

Officer Storm approached a fruit stand. It's been a while since she ate an apple, so she purchased one. "Thanks," she said. She held the apple in her tail fins. She saw a Christmas tree on the opposite side of the street. "I should be at Gwendolyn's house drinking beer and celebrating Christmas with my friends," she thought. "I shouldn't have Gwendolyn going to the opposite side of the world and Blitz murdered." Officer Storm felt a tear roll off her cheek, and she took away the emotional feelings and bit into her apple. Spots came around the corner, and he ran into Officer Storm. He noticed her crying, and of course. He has been feeling awful ever since Venom killed Blitz. "If you ever tell the cops I killed someone, you're dead. Besides, you have no proof anyways. Who'll listen to a deadbeat punk like you? You've already been arrested once for drugs and shit. What makes you think anyone would listen to you?" However, Spots didn't know that Officer Storm knew Blitz personally.

"Excuse me, but are you alright?" he asked. Officer Storm nervously finished the rest of the apple. "Y-yeah," she answered with her voice quivering. "I'm okay," She brushed past Spots, but something told him to be concerned for someone else. "Can I walk you somewhere?" He noticed that Officer Storm had a badge on herself. Officer Storm turned around to face him. Spots backed away, and Officer Storm looked at him, confused.

"Why are you backing away from me?" she said.

"You're a cop," Spots stated. Spots backed up into an alley, and Officer Storm followed him. "Were you following me? Wait, are you following me?" she said.

Spots backed up against the wall. "I-I don't want any trouble. I need to meet someone," Spots explained. Officer Storm noticed that he was becoming too uncomfortable around her. Spots felt that this Lightfury was getting into his personal space. Officer Storm blocked off Spots' path so he couldn't run away. If he did run, that would make him look suspicious. He couldn't tell anybody what he saw when Venom killed Blitz. Certainly not when a police officer was standing in front of him. "Hey, I think I remember you," Officer Storm said. She remembered she booked Spots for drug possession before last year. "Your that kid I arrested for having illegal drugs. Do you have any drugs at home? Hmm?" Officer Storm placed her paws on Spot's back. "I don't have time for this right now," Officer Storm said. "Were you following me?" Spots shook his head. "Wait, I think you were with Venom's group back there, weren't you? You passed me, but you didn't see me," Officer Storm grew suspicious of Spots. "What's he been hiding? Hmm? More importantly, what are you hiding?" Officer Storm asked for Spots to lie down. "Why? Am I being detained?" Spots asked.

"Yes, you-"

*Rat-tat-tat-tat* *Blam-Blam!*

Officer Storm knew what sounds those were. Gunshots. However, if it cracks, someone is shooting toward you. Officer Storm saw two humans shooting at her, but she had a second to notice that it wasn't ordinary bullets they were using.

Scale Piercing. The only deadly bullet for dragons, and she had no time to react. These were assassins that were coming to get her. "Run," she told Spots. She pulled a dumpster and a few other items in the alley to provide cover, and the pair ran. The assassins ran after them, and whatever weapon they were using was quieter, so it must be a silencer. Officer Storm and Spots ducked behind cover, and the assassins tried shooting at them from down the street, but Officer Storm and Spots were too quick, and they managed to get down to Midnight's residence.

"State your business," one of the guards said. Officer Storm showed her badge to one of the guards. "I'm a cop," she said. "Let me through. I need to speak with Midnight," The guard sighed. "Let her through," he said. He saw Spots, and he shook his head. "No, he comes too," Officer Storm said. She didn't want Spots out in the street where those assassins could come back to shoot him.

"Officer Storm. It's been some time since I last saw you," Midnight turned against them as she spoke softly. "What brings you and this little one here?" Midnight curiously looked at the younger dragon whom Officer Storm brought along. "Gwendolyn needs our help," Officer Storm said. She closed all of the blinds.

"Stormie, why are you closing the blinds?" Midnight asked. She walked over to her and placed her tail across Stormie's side. "Your heart is racing. Did something happen?"

"Someone fucking shot at us! It was crazy!" Spots yelled, scared. Midnight shot him a dirty look for using such language.

Midnight looked back at Stormie for a moment, and she nodded. Midnight approaches the younger dragon. "Come over here," Midnight said. Spots hesitated, and he shook his head. Midnight clicked her tongue, and she looked at him much more seriously. "Do I have to drag you under me?" she said. "I won't say it twice," Spots sped over to Midnight, and she placed her tail across his head. Whatever Spots has seen, Midnight can see.

"Why do you hide such a thing?" Midnight thought. Spots could hear her voice ring inside his head. "No!" Spots cried. "Oh my! How did you do that?!" Officer Storm sat down with her head aimed toward the floor. She remembered her reaction the first time when Midnight could read her mind. Gwendolyn was there with Stormie, but that was after Thomas was presumed dead.

"She's a police officer. Why don't you tell her?" Midnight suggested.

"What? Tell me what?" Officer Storm said. Spots whimpered loudly, and he wanted to bolt out of Midnight's house. He frantically tried to get the door to open. Officer Storm's suspicions of Spots proved correct that he must have done something wrong. She pounced on Spots and dragged him to the center of the room. He was lying on his back, and Officer Storm hovered over him. "What are you hiding? Answer me!"

Spots cried underneath Officer Storm. Midnight watches everything in front of her, unfazed. "Speak!" she ordered.

"I-I can't!" Spots said. He struggled under Officer Storm but to no avail. "Please don't hurt me! I can't breathe!" He had covered his face with his wings, but Officer Storm knew how to pull them away from him.

"Do you want to go back to jail for knowingly withholding evidence from a crime?" Officer Storm said. "You could put someone else in jail if you tell me what you might have seen. Don't you want this off of your shoulders? It's been bugging you, hmm?"

Officer Storm got off of Spots. He hesitated to say anything at first. "All I know is that I watched someone murder someone else," he whispered.

"Speak clearly," Officer Storm said firmly.

Spots cleared his throat louder. "Listen, I swear I didn't participate in what happened. I watched someone murder someone else," he repeated.

Officer Storm's heart sank. She had the feeling that Spots knew who might have killed Blitz.

"D-" Officer Storm stuttered. "Who did it?"

Spots sat down nervously and covered his front paws on top of one another. Midnight came over and covered him with the left wing. Midnight was unusual with the size difference compared to a regular dragon. She was nearly twice as big as a Nightfury. Gwendolyn is also unusually gigantic. However, nobody paired any connection between the two.

"Venom," he said quickly. "And his group. But I swear I didn't do anything. I didn't touch him. I only watched as it went down,"

"He's not lying," Midnight said. "It's what happened. He's telling the truth, Storm," Officer Storm felt like getting punched in the face. She wanted to rip Venom to pieces, and something told her that Venom might have been one of the suspects. "I didn't know he would have been capable of murder," Officer Storm said. Although, she did feel that she murdered Agent Red instead of committing self-defense back in that drain. Officer Storm wanted to move that fact from her head. She wants to get revenge, and she will on Venom and his group of friends. She thanked Spots for playing his part in the truth. Then, she asked him to go upstairs.

"I can't deal with Blitz's death right now," she said. "Midnight, Gwendolyn needs our help. A group of mercenaries kidnapped her human, and now she's in London trying to get him back,"

Midnight looked at Stormie and calmly nodded her head. "Wait. Midnight, why do you look so unconcerned?" Officer Storm said. "How could you take this so lightly?"

"And she will," Midnight continued. "She will find Logan," Midnight blew fire into her fireplace, and she sat by the warmth.

"Gwendolyn is more than capable of handling a corrupt organization such as Dragon Medical Technologies. The job her husband works,"

Officer Storm stared at Midnight. "How do you know all of this?" she said. Midnight looked down at Stormie, and she smiled. "My dear, Stormie. I am an elder dragon. I'm aware of many things you couldn't even dream about," Midnight looked into the fire, and a smile grew on her face.

"My Gwendolyn has done it, and she will finally know the true meaning of love,"

Mr. Saracen guided Gwendolyn and Thomas to the hotel. Mr. Saracen had placed guards out front. Gwendolyn saw there were guards beside the door of her hotel room. "I placed guards out front so they could protect you," Mr. Saracen said. "They will remain here until the morning," "I don't need any of this," Gwendolyn replied firmly. "I don't need guards. I'm perfectly capable of handing myself," Mr. Saracen was shaking his head. "This is for your safety," he answered. "We don't want anybody coming here to try and kill you because they know you're ready to speak the truth against a corrupt pharmaceutical company,"

Gwendolyn shook her head, and she went inside anyway. Mr. Saracen stood outside the doorway, along with another guard.

"I'm going to go save my family," Gwendolyn told Thomas. "You won't be coming with me,"

Thomas sputtered.

"Wait, what? What do you mean, Gwendolyn? Of course, I'm coming with you,"

Gwendolyn gave Thomas a death stare. "No, you won't," she said. "And that's final,"

"I don't want you to be alone out there by yourself," Thomas protested.

"What did I just say?" Gwendolyn said.

Thomas said nothing except, "You said I won't be joining you,"

Gwendolyn nodded her head, "And?" she said.

"Yes, ma'am," Thomas knew what she meant, and Gwendolyn went to check out the hotel room.

Thomas sat beside the bed, and Gwendolyn looked at herself in the mirror. She should have forced Thomas to stay home. And now, Gwendolyn is here trying to save her husband and Logan far away from home. "This should never have happened," she thought. Gwendolyn turned away from the mirror and approached the bathroom. She noticed there was an opening to another room. "Thomas?" Gwendolyn called out. "I'm going to take a shower, alright?" Gwendolyn opened the shower door and turned on the hot water. Gwendolyn shut the door using her tail. She waited until Thomas turned on the TV in the other room. "Good. Thomas should stay here. I can find where Logan is in a day or less," Gwendolyn waited another minute until Thomas finished settling down. Gwendolyn thumped her tail against the ground until it appeared sharp, and she picked the lock to the other door. She discovered it was a way to the roof. Conveniently for Gwendolyn, it was an easy chance to escape instead of having to figure out the hard way. Gwendolyn quietly climbed up the ladder. The ladder nearly gave away with her weight, but she managed to reach the top where the opening to the roof was.

"Great, another lock," she thought. Gwendolyn pressed her muzzle against the lock. Then, she breathed her warm plasma breath across the padlock, melting it away. Unfortunately, Gwendolyn lost her focus for a second because the little lock fell on the floor.

"Gwendolyn? Is everything okay in there?" Thomas called out. She heard him get off the bed.

"Yes! I'm fine! I nearly slipped!" She yelled.

"Okay," Thomas answered. She held her breath, and he climbed back into bed.

Gwendolyn carefully lifted the lid to the roof. She saw that another guard was fifty feet away from her. Mr. Saracen did come prepared in case Gwendolyn tried to go by herself.

"Shit," she whispered. Gwendolyn quietly lifted the lid, and she set it down carefully without making a sound.

She approached the guard. Gwendolyn slipped her tail quietly around his neck. She trained herself to know exactly where to press against a dragon's pressure points. Gwendolyn calmly knocks him out without a struggle.

"Shh," Gwendolyn whispered. She gently laid the guard's body on the ground while taking his ski mask to help mask her identity.

Gwendolyn flapped her wings and flew the opposite way towards the countryside so she could look for anybody to help her and point the way to where Asher's job was.

She flew towards downtown London, and she found a hospital.

"Hopefully, someone knows where Dragon Medical Technologies is," she thought. Gwendolyn slipped into the shadows and waited for a doctor to smoke outside.

It must have taken a few minutes until someone appeared. Gwendolyn noticed it was a human, so it would make this easier. Gwendolyn had to be careful to look for a blind spot, and fortunately, there was. She crept up on the unsuspecting man, grabbed him, and yanked him aside.

"MPH!" he groaned.

Gwendolyn forced him to sit down against the wall and placed her tail against his mouth. "Don't kill me!" the man begged.

Gwendolyn shot him a glare, and he looked into her eyes. "What do you want? If it's money you want, you can have it," he opened his wallet, and Gwendolyn shook her head.

"If you don't do as I tell you, you will die. Do as I say," Gwendolyn began. She never believed she would have to threaten someone else to get what she wanted. "You will arrange a ride for me to Dragon Medical Technologies in London. Now." Gwendolyn said. She placed her tail fins against the man's shoulders.

The man held his hands up to cover his face. Gwendolyn noticed he had a cigarette pack in his left breast pocket. "Go ahead, smoke," she said. The man reached into his pocket shaking, and he lit a cigarette. "Now, finish that, then, you're going to help me, right?" she said. Gwendolyn gave the man a sour look through her mask. The man nodded. "I-I think I could," he replied. He wiped his head with his forearm. He didn't pay any eye contact with Gwendolyn.

"W-who are you?" he stuttered. He had a worried look on his face. Gwendolyn sat down and looked around to see if anybody was walking close by. "I'm nobody," she said. "All I want to see is the person running Dragon Medical Technologies. I want to speak to him," The young man swallowed nervously. "Y-you want to see Billy Cross?"

Gwendolyn slowly nodded her head. "He has taken someone very special to me," she replied. "And I've come to take him back, and I will deal out violence," Gwendolyn saw the man was horrified. "What are you going to do? Kill people?" he said, shivering. Gwendolyn shook her head. "Only if they stand in my way. I believe you finished that." Gwendolyn slapped the man's hand with her tail, and she pulled him up.

"If you let anybody know what just happened, I will burn this hospital to the ground. I'm not kidding,"

"Ok-okay, just calm down," he said.

"I'm perfectly calm," Gwendolyn stated. "I've been trying to remain calm for months now,"

The man could see that the dragon who nearly killed him was insane.

"Go to door C in the west wing. I will arrange a ride for you, but don't hurt anyone, okay?"

Gwendolyn read his ID on his uniform. "Don't fuck this up, Richard," she said.

The man went inside, and Gwendolyn flew up to the west wing. There, she waited behind a trash bin for the ride to arrange.

Gwendolyn sat alone, and it started to snow outside. "Tonight will be dealt with blood. Billy Cross," she thought. Gwendolyn only wanted to deal her punishment to Billy Cross or anyone else who was to stand in her way. They took her human and held him hostage against his will. Gwendolyn waited for what seemed like forever, and she looked down in front of her to notice a rat scurrying past her. Gwendolyn started to think happier thoughts from when she was a teenager and a kid. "I miss those days, and I would have been celebrating Christmas with everyone back home if it weren't for Asher's job,"

"Thomas probably discovered that I'm not in the shower anymore," she thought. But she didn't care. Well, Gwendolyn did. Sort of because she only wanted Thomas to remain safe. "Hey!" someone hissed. Gwendolyn looked to her right and saw the same man she pulled aside earlier, "The van is coming!"

A van drove in reverse toward Gwendolyn, and they opened the door to let her in. She still had her mask on. Gwendolyn saw the van open, and she noticed that two other dragons were in the back. "Get in," one of them said.

Gwendolyn noticed that one of them was concealing a taser behind him.

Gwendolyn understood that she sensed a fight inside the van was about to happen. She noticed the driver had a gun on his hip. However, nobody was in the passenger seat.

"Where are we going?" Gwendolyn asked. She walked to the back to set herself up for a position to fight. "We are going to Dragon Medical Technologies like you instructed Richard to do so, so the ride there shouldn't be long," he answered.

Gwendolyn kept an eye on the dragon, who hid a taser behind his back. When they weren't looking, Gwendolyn quietly lifted her tail so she could unlock the van doors to the back. She planned to shoot at the van with plasma as soon as she jumped out into the road whenever the two dragons decided to strike unless another plan happened instead.

"You are unclipped," Gwendolyn spoke to the driver. "Your holster, I mean," She knew he was trying to wait for the right moment to draw his weapon.

"Scale Piercing bullets," Gwendolyn thought. Thanks to Officer Storm's warnings, Gwendolyn could become more prepared. So, she knew she had to use deadly force when the time arrived.

"Oh, sorry," the driver replied. He did clip his holster again, but after two minutes, Gwendolyn noticed it was off again.

Gwendolyn knew she was ready to fight now, and she unsheathed her claws and arched her back in a sitting position.

Then, she spread her wings and put her tail on the latch, ready to open the van doors.

Gwendolyn kept looking at the two dragons, and they looked back at her. They all knew they had to be ready because a fight was about to happen.

"How about this," Gwendolyn began. "You guys could tell me where Dragon Medical Technologies is, and I'll go on my way,"

The two dragons snickered. "Do you seriously think we were going to let you go?" the dragon with the taser said.

"Well, I considered you weren't so in that case,"

"Ahhhh!" the dragon with the taser attempted to tase Gwendolyn, but Gwendolyn sprung up and hit him across the face with her tail. The guard tried to pull his weapon out of his holster, but he needed to keep the van going. Gwendolyn jumped on the dragon who had the taser, took control of it, and tased him with it. The dragon yowled in pain, and the other Nightfury punched Gwendolyn's face. He placed his tail around her neck and began to strangle her.

"Did you seriously think I was letting some Lightfury beat us? Ha!" the Nightfury, who Gwendolyn shocked with a taser, punched her, and Gwendolyn moved away when he tried slashing her across the face. The driver slowed the car down, and he pulled his weapon.

"I haven't finished killing you murderous fucks yet," Gwendolyn said. She had a pissed-off look on her face.

The driver racked the slide of his gun, and Gwendolyn was quick enough to headbutt the dragon on top of her, and she reacted by taking the driver by the arm and aiming the pistol at the two dragons, somehow squeezing the gun he had into the back of the van until it was empty.

Gwendolyn saw the two dragons were dead from the scale-piercing ammunition.

"Get out of the van," Gwendolyn yelled angrily. "NOW!" she roared. The driver whimpered, and he got out of the van. Gwendolyn opened the doors and saw him running into the dark forest. Gwendolyn saw where he was in the dark, and she ran into the woods. Fortunately, it was a crystal clear evening, and a full moon was in the deep, blue sky.

Eventually, the driver tripped and found himself caught in Gwendolyn's clutches.

"No! No!" he cried.

He was flinging his arms, and Gwendolyn quietly pinned him down while covering his mouth using her tail.

He was no match for Gwendolyn's strength.

"Where is Dragon Medical Technologies?" Gwendolyn asked politely. "I've been very patient with you, and I did not appreciate having to kill your pals out there. So, why don't you be a dear and help yourself by telling me where it is, or you'll find your neck sliced open?"

"I-I can take you there!" he stuttered. "Yes! Yes! I know where it is!" he said.

Gwendolyn had zero intentions of taking this human with her. He was evil as the dragons in the car, and he works for Dragon Medical Technologies.

"Do you work for Dragon Medical Technologies?" Gwendolyn questioned. She placed her paws against the human's chest.

He nodded.

"So, could you point me where it is?" she said.

The human pointed in the direction of where Dragon Medical Technologies was residing.

Gwendolyn could peer past the trees in the woods and saw a valley in the distance. Over there, she could see the glowing lights of a small city, and that's where Dragon Medical Technologies is.

Gwendolyn noticed how hungry she was, and she licked her lips. Her stomach growled, and she looked at the human toward her.

"Please don't, no. You don't want to do this," the man whimpered. Gwendolyn pressed her muzzle against his chest.

"Then tell me one thing," she whispered. "Where is Logan? The human who Billy Cross I heard captured,"

The man couldn't help but laugh nervously.

"I don't know. I think someone did something to this, Logan," he replied.

"Can you let me go?"

Gwendolyn looked at him and stared into his eyes.

"You will stop working for them, yes?" she said.

The young man nodded. Gwendolyn chuckled, but it became more sinister sounding after a moment later.

"I will come back and find you if I catch you still working for them, and I will find you and end you. NOW GET OUT OF HERE!" The young man whimpered and cried as he ran away. Gwendolyn walked back toward the road, and she sighed to herself. She started her bloody night of violence, and the night was still young.

*BLAM!"

A bullet tore into Gwendolyn's left wing, and it was the same human she let go. He ran back for his gun because he wanted to kill Gwendolyn somehow.

*BLAM!* *BLAM!* *BLAM!* *CLICK!*

The young man discovered Gwendolyn lying on the road on her side, bleeding.

He walked over to her body, and Gwendolyn swiftly swept him off his feet.

The young man was horrified to see that Gwendolyn was somehow still alive after shooting her more than three times.

Gwendolyn teased him when she said, "I think you should have worked on your aim," she said.

"I gave you your chance, Ahhh~,"

Gwendolyn opened her mouth, and she heard loud screaming until it stopped.

*CRUNCH!* *CRUNCH!*

Gwendolyn lifted her head high, and she saw off into the horizon. The bright yellow lights of the town could not be more than three miles away. She started to walk in that direction when she felt an awful feeling come from her stomach. Her eyes narrowed, and she stared at her paws covered in blood. She licked her lips, and she touched her mouth.

"Oh. . ." Gwendolyn thought. She walked for another few more minutes until she sat down along the road, looking into the distance. Gwendolyn had no idea what had taken over her mind.

Only one word rang in Gwendolyn's head.

Savage.

"You are a savage, Gwendolyn," she told herself. She started thinking about how her failures affected everything in her life. There was Thomas's death. The mercenaries at your house. The dragons you killed at the van. That one dragon you fought at the bar. The fights you had when you were younger. You hid behind your looks while paying off your house. You hid behind your family while never sharing your true feelings. You had it all, but you still felt empty inside until you discovered another human who piqued your interest.

And now he's gone too, just like the rest of your family. You don't hang out with your friends as much anymore, and everybody is older now, moving on with their lives. What more can you expect out of your life?

"I took everything for granted," she thought. "I messed up. I can't ever seem to fix this one. Nobody knows my hidden powers, and especially the fact that I secretly have a thing going on for a particular human,"

"You will fix this. You will tell everyone the truth," Gwendolyn thought. "You can do this, Gwendolyn. You can do this,"

Thomas woke up from his nap and realized Gwendolyn was taking a long shower. He looked at the clock and felt Gwendolyn wasn't in the hotel room. Thomas walked over to the bathroom and noticed she wasn't inside. He turned off the water. Then, Thomas planned on letting Mr. Saracen know Gwendolyn was missing. He walked over so he could open the room door.

The guards were missing, and so was Mr. Saracen. "Mr. Saracen?" Thomas asked. He heard someone tranquilize him, and he felt dizzy before landing on the floor. Two mercenaries dragged Thomas into a van, and one of them had a hood put over his face.

"Is he unconscious?" one of them asked. "I feel like these darts aren't strong enough to keep them asleep for long,"

The other Nightfury shook his head. "No, it's okay. He won't be awake until we reach the base,"

He slammed the door, and the driver drove the van to the base.

"Alpha, this is Delta. Come in, over," the driver said. He was trying to reach the same van where Gwendolyn was, but there was no response.

"Alpha, this is Delta. Come in and answer, over," he repeated.

He shook his head while feeling frustrated towards the two Nightfuries who watched Thomas. "Dumbasses," he whispered.

"Alpha, this is Delta. Come on and quit fooling around. Break time is over, over," he gave up and took another right toward Dragon Medical Technologies.

Thomas groaned, and one of the guards heard him moan. "Ugh, I knew those darts were useless!" he said. Thomas whimpered. "Oh, shit, where am I?" he said clearly. He started panicking, and one of the night furies knocked him out again by punching his face.

"How far are we, boss? I don't want to be here," one of them said.

He shrugged. "I don't know, probably five miles away," he replied.

Gwendolyn was walking down the street. She was closing in on the town while being alone in her thoughts. Gwendolyn kept thinking about that moment when Logan was gone. She almost lost her family while mercenaries broke into her house. Then, she heard a car coming by and didn't move out of the way or hide out of sight.

One of the night furies from the back saw that a Lightfury walked alone. He noticed how pretty Gwendolyn looked.

"Wait, stop the car!" he said. He stared at Gwendolyn. The night fury opened the door, and Gwendolyn jumped back. "Who are you?" Gwendolyn asked.

"Do you want a ride?" he asked. Gwendolyn shook her head. She looked into the back and saw a dragon wearing a dark hoodie over his face.

"Hmm, nope," Gwendolyn said.

She started walking down the road again, but she walked in a flirty type position.

"We can't let her go!" the night fury said. "Yeah! Oh my goodness, she's hot!"

The driver rolled his eyes. "You owe me. Do whatever you have to do. I'll keep watch on him back there," The driver unholstered his weapon while he sat in the back watching Thomas.

Gwendolyn's plan had worked. She thought if she were to save the dragon from the back of the van, he could help point her to the location where Dragon Medical Technologies resided.

"Where are you going?" one of the night furies asked.

Gwendolyn looked at him, and she sensed how attracted he was to her. The other guy, not so much. He only wanted to watch, so that was the dragon she knew she had to take out, and she did. She asked him to come closer. "Come closer," Gwendolyn said. "That's it. I have to tell you something, okay?" With one easy hard kick to the head, he fell on the ground cold.

"Now, your friend won't be coming with us," Gwendolyn said. She pushed the night fury to the side, and Gwendolyn pinned him against the tree.

"This is my dream come true!" the dragon exclaimed.

Gwendolyn looked away while rolling her eyes.

"If you want to come with me, why don't you take out the driver for me and release that dragon you have in your van, hmm?"

Gwendolyn fluttered her eyes at him. Then, she rubbed his chest down with her claw.

"Why are you still here, sweetie? Go do it," The dragon smiled, and he went back to the van. Gwendolyn shook her head in disbelief. "Maybe with Logan, I can try that when I see him next, but this makes me want to puke,"

The dragon walks to the van and saw that the driver with his gun out.

"Put that away," he said. He couldn't stop thinking about Gwendolyn's looks.

"Where's your friend?" the driver asked.

"Taking a piss," he replied. He turned around but came back to knock the driver out.

"Get up, get up," the dragon said. He dragged Thomas against the ground, and the dragon started walking him back to where Gwendolyn was underneath a tree while she waited for him.

The dragon dropped Thomas on the ground.

"Kindly remove his hood," Gwendolyn answered. The dragon smiled, and he took Thomas's hood off.

Gwendolyn frowned for a second until she had to keep her smile on for the dragon looking at her.

"Why does Thomas always seem to make his way back to me?" she thought.

"Come over here, dear," she replied.

The dragon walked over to Gwendolyn, and he wanted to go in and kiss her. Gwendolyn had to try not to throw up when she kissed him across his face.

"How old are you?" he asked.

Gwendolyn sighed. "I'm in my fifties," she answered.

The dragon's eyes widened. "Oh, that's sick! A MILF!" he exclaimed.

Gwendolyn couldn't handle it any further, and she headbutted him as hard as she could while knocking him out cold.

"Wha? Huh?" Gwendolyn heard Thomas stir up.

Thomas noticed Gwendolyn, and he asked if she was okay. "Why did you escape without telling me?" Thomas asked. Gwendolyn rolled her eyes, and she started her way back onto the road again.

"Hey, I asked you a question, Gwendolyn," Thomas said.

Gwendolyn ignored him, and he placed his paw on her shoulder.

"YOU!-" Gwendolyn began. She lowered her voice, "I wanted you to be safe, but yet somehow you even managed to ruin that part,"

Thomas shook his head. "They took Mr. Saracen," Thomas told Gwendolyn. "I opened the door to the hotel after I realized you were missing, and Mr. Saracen wasn't outside,"

Gwendolyn thought that was strange because Mr. Saracen had multiple security guards protecting them.

"Do you think Mr. Saracen works for Dragon Medical Technologies?" Thomas asked.

Gwendolyn shrugged. "It's possible," she replied. "I hope it's not true, but if it is? I will take care of him,"

Gwendolyn and Thomas both flapped their wings. They flew high in the sky. A few minutes later, Gwendolyn saw where she needed to go. "There it is," Gwendolyn said.

"Dragon Medical Technologies,"

Gwendolyn flew beside the building and asked if Thomas could stay on the roof where he could be safe if any fighting should occur.

"I want you to be safe, Thomas," Gwendolyn said. She looked at him in his eyes, and he looked back at her, wondering why she looked the same as she did over thirty years ago.

"Do you remember our first kiss?" Thomas asked.

Gwendolyn thought that was a sweet question, "Sure, but could we focus now?" she said. "Our lives are on the line, so we need to focus. I feel like I'm living a life as a spy,"

Gwendolyn looked to make sure no guards were nearby.

"Stay on the roof. I don't want you getting caught up in any fighting. We will get Asher and Logan by dawn, and then we could go back and fix the house and forget everything that's happened to us,"

"Alright," Thomas said.

"Kiss me,"

Gwendolyn playfully slapped Thomas across the face. "When it's over," she said.

Thomas frowned. He quietly flew up and hid low on the roof while Gwendolyn walked to the front. She noticed there were no guards outside.

"Huh, that's weird," she thought. She carefully examined her surroundings and started walking up the stairs into the mansion. She paused to look behind her, and Gwendolyn saw Dragon Medical Technologies about half a mile away. She assumed this was Billy Cross's house.

Gwendolyn opened the door, and she saw that there were two large doors and a hall.

She saw one of the pairs of large doors on her right was open, so she walked inside while keeping her guard.
