Scar’s “son”, but more like adopted cub although related by blood. His mother’s death meant the cub and his sibling would’ve died but(!) dear Sarafina gave birth and was willing to be a wet nurse for the royal cubs as she had been for Simba. Until Scar took him away when he could be weaned off milk he loved Nala and Nala loved him right back. Her heart broke when sweet little Kovu had to leave.
