Description
I recently joined a D&D campaign and I quite frankly jumped at the chance to use Nix as my character. I've been in a bit of a creative slump for the past few weeks, but after the introductory session I had a hit of inspiration (...I swear that was not intentional) to do another drawing of Nix, this time with a feature from her Bardic College: the College of Glamour (a College specialising in the magic of the Fey, involving a lot of changing one's appearance to charm audiences or inspire party members). In the meantime, uploads are probably going to be rather infrequent from now on: I've started my final year at uni so coursework is going to take priority (Β ).Other Drawings in this Series:
Bardic Inspiration
School of Evocation
Wild Shape
Primeval Awareness
Action Surge

Thank you so much! I've only just recently started playing D&D, but I've always wanted to play a bard, so I'm so happy to finally have the opportunity to do so.

Red and turquoise is a really nice colour combination, isnβt it? And Nix is probably my current favourite OC as well, Iβm so happy to be using her as my character in an actual D&D campaign now

Yes it is! After watching Doctor Strange, I think I like it even more,
if that's possible. I also discovered I'm a sucker for robes.

Helps that red and green are opposite colours, and turquoise is a combination of green and blue yay, colour theory!
And same, I love flowing robes! Still havenβt seen Dr. Strange in full, but even so: robes are awesome.

I've noticed opposite colours go together, like green and red, orange and blue and purple and yellow, if it's a goldy yellow.
I LOVE robes! They look so cool and I really like traditional outfits and weapons better than modern things.

Opposite colours also get referred to as complimentary colours, which technically means that they cancel each other out and create grey when mixed together but the name still works because they tend to work well together as well and I love matching gold with other colours, not just oriole - it goes really well with rich, dark reds, blues and greens (the latter two can also be paired with silver and it looks freaking gorgeous as well, I love pairing royal/navy blue with silver).
And same, I love designing more old-timey, traditional outfits, especially as inspiration for fantasy designs. Flowing robes just give the impression of grandeur and mystique, donβt they?
