Description made in Photoshop CS5. A mostly desert planet from the background lore of our D&D setting, where some of the characters came from before it was ravaged by colonies drops and an apocalyptic storm.

Nice map! How much influence did you take from Barsoom?

very little outside of the name tbh, though the Thrikeen are similar to the green martials and the multicoloured Beneton people are a play on the different coloured barsoomian martians too. it was only called Barsum since we couldn't think of a better name.

This is a great piece! I've always been a fan of cartography! Your D+D games must have such rich lore.

mostly they're just terrible puns and injokes haha the excessive backstory/lore started out as an injoke for my last character. i mean even looking at this map "The United Cities of Benetopolis" is punny because we had a bunch of multicoloured "Benneton" people in the last game and this is where they came from.

Sounds epic! Continuity from different campaigns can be very fun and provide that personal touch to games.
