👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rosie-the-rabbit In reply to NutKayss [2009-01-25 23:08:18 +0000 UTC]

they take after me... they love it! they always run outside to play in it and dig and generally mess about i took this in the frount garden after putting up some temporary fences so i didnt loose my babies and they literally jumped for joy when they got out there actually Buddy and his brothers and sister were born november 07 and they had their fist snow experience at 5 weeks old! things havnt changed much

NutKayss In reply to Rosie-the-rabbit [2009-01-26 04:17:49 +0000 UTC]

Aw! I bet my bunnies would like snow too :] They'd love to dig in it and not get yelled at XD

My female lop, Jezzabell, might be pregnant! Finally! I bred her and Ginger again last week and I put them together again the next day but Jezz wouldn't have anything to do with Ginger-bun. She snorted at him and got all grumpy. She's been pretty cranky towards me too ever since I put them together last week. Is this any sign that she's pregnant? She won't have anything to do with any of the other buns either. But she's not sick because she's eating and drinking well, her coat is still soft and shiny, her eyes and nose aren't runny...She's seems perfectly fine except for her attitude.

oooh excited for you!
well it may be that she is just in a really bad mood with you for putting her in with ginger bunnies can be like that, they always want you to come grovelling for forgivness to them, never the other way round! her mood is more likely caused by annoyance at being mated, because sometimes buns will "mate" just to prove who is the dominant bunny, and that might explain why she's acting off with the other buns too, not giving them the chance to dominate her aswell. lol buns are complicated lil balls of fluff
generally a pregnant bun will show no sign of her condition at all, their survival depends upon it. she wont even get much bigger so its hard to tell, all you can do is wait and see, and hopefully she will build a nest and surprise you one morning you wont have to wait long, the gestation period is around 31days and she would probably only build a nest a few days to a week before hand.
hope that helps!

Aw, stupid bunny temperaments, I was real excited there I just might have thought she was pregnant because she's never acted like that before after being with Ginger and I don't put them together a lot. This would have only been the third time in one year. But anyways, hopefully she'll wise back up and we can finally get some baby buns!

Thanks for the info. :]

hehe thanks! i guess its not so bad being blurred although i would have prefered it without the fence at all... but i didnt want to loose my bunnies!
