Awesome job on this!! ^^ King Sombra is a great character. At first I was disappointed with less screen time, less lines, and wasn't developed that much, as he was just sorta there in the episode. But then I found out from one fan and Megan Macarthy, saying he was suppose to be that way to add how truly pure evil he was. He was suppose to be mysterious an dis one of those you can not reason with. That is what made him so scary and so evil. He even set up traps for any pony who tried to get the Crystal Heart (example: the door and stairs.) He is very different then the past villains, as Discord only did what he does only just to have fun with the ponies, and he teases them for his since of humer. But that what makes Discord such a great villain to because of his fun personality. Sombra is just a dark evil force you can reason with. Over all, King Sombra is not a horrible villain. I won't be surprised if Sombra does return. <3 Discord and King Sombra ftw!! And like I said, epic job on this picture for the dark shadow king!

In fact! All the villains in this series is great! ^^ Nightmare Moon is so revengeful for being trapped a thousand years, Discord caused chaos throughout Equestria and corrupted our heroes, Queen Chrysalis trying to feed there changelings and to take over the whole Equestaia, and King Sombra who wants to take back what was his, the Crystal Empire, just so he can enslaved them again and maybe kill Cadence as well. He see's the Crystal Ponies nothing more then his slaves, now that is freakin evil! His heart was black as night, maybe he did all those horrible things just because he wanted to. He is the devil of the pony verse, and he is pretty badass. We don't have to see him that much but if you see the dark crystal, you know he is out there, doing something. I never understand that to now, thanks for one fan who gave me that understanding. Other people need to understand that as well. If you hate King Sombra still, just because, that's fine with me. Everybody has different opinions, but in my opinion, King Sombra will always stand out as the darkest villain in the show. I don't care if he has less lines or not much screentime, he is suppose to because he is not the main focus of the episode. Plus his back story doesn't really have to be revealed, unless he returned. He can be the one who is just purely evil. Good job Hasbro, for getting us a dark bad guy, in a kids show. xD!!

Yeah, he is pure evil. He just CHOSE evil side. No one forced him (like Nigtmare Moon,situation forced her to change into a monster), it wasn't his destiny (like Discord - spirit of Chaos or Chrysalis, who was born as Changeling)... he just chose evil... and that's why I thing he is the most dark and evil villain in the series. Hope he will come back. Writers just can't ignore such a potential...

I hope he comes back to. ^^ He is such a great villain and will see more of what he can do and to come up with a better way to take back the crystal empire. He will probably regenerate himself with his surviving horn which still has magic within it. Thats what I think I hope happens in the season 3 finale. <3
