If you noticed, I've disabled comments on some deviations and the reason for that is because I don't have the time to reply nor sleep for the month of June - September. It's thesis time + 5 major subjects!!! I'm fueled by coffee and motivated by deadlines. I spontaneously post/reblog/update my other sites because that's what I do when I procrastinate then regret is so much because I will sacrifice sleep or some posts have been queued and scheduled to keep accounts alive! I like the lighting, but I especially love the bushes poking out of the fence for some reason. I like the little sparkle-bits in the grass and hovering by her shoulder and next to her bow.
I agree with the other person that there's not quite enough blades of grass. It would look okay being simplified if the entire picture was simplified, but compared to the detail in the flowers/leaves/clothes/etc, the grass looks unfinished (the light was bright enough to bleach out the grass into nothing, but not bright enough to bleach out the fence/bushes as well).
I like how her shoes, the foreground grass and far right side of the fence are outside the focus range and look blurry.
I like how you can see the grass on the other side, but then there's... um... leaves or something and it's hard to tell if that's part of the bushes or if it's a tree on the other side. The lighting on those leaves doesn't match the lighting on the other leaves, so it looks like whatever it is is further away.
The high contrast between the light and shadow really makes it stand out. Good job on the clothing wrinkles, and your watermark is readable (not too small/too blurry/etc) but also not dominating half the picture, it's just right.
I love that the plushie rabbit is chewing on a fork. The cream swirls on the cake are very cute. Great job on the perspective of the fence.
Her tiny hands and chubby legs make her look childish, but her bust size and hips make her look older, so it's hard to figure out what age she's supposed to be. Since no little girl should be quite so developed, and everything else in the picture is reasonably realistic in comparison, the lil hands just look out of proportion. All the rest of the anatomy and proportions look lovely.
The light/shadow boundary on the left, going over her leg and over the plate and over the cake and up the wall looks great.
There is some confusion on where exactly the light is coming from. The flowers have shadows straight down, so the light must be directly above her. It seems she is partly out from under whatever is over her head, because the light is touching the side of her leg and dress and arm and bow and hair. But the shadow of the object is on the wall behind her and to the side. The light shouldn't be touching her at all unless it is angled slightly to reach under whatever is above her (which would change the angle of the shadows for the flowers). If that's the edge of the shadow (she is not completely under the object) then the light/shadow boundary on the fence behind her needs to line up with the light/shadow boundary on her bow/hair/dress/sleeve/leg/etc, like it all lines up on the cake and plate and shoe and such.
The shadows under the bush where it's poking out of the fence are tricky and it doesn't matter if they're not zomg 100% perfect cuz nobody's looking at that anyway. I like the shadows that fold over the corner of the fence, um, board, um, thingy.
Great use of colors, and especially good job on the eyes and hair.

I must say, I absolutely love this! This is a great piece. There are so many details that I probably couldn't even begin to add to my own pieces of work at my current skill level, and they fit very well. I especially love the ways you shined the light of the sun on the character. I love how you drew the background and the grass, along with the character and the details of the rabbit. This whole piece makes a peaceful scenery, and I love how I'm filled with a sense of calm while looking at this piece. Everything looks great and perfect at a first glance.
However, there are some subtle mistakes/errors I see in this piece that are noticeable on this piece at a second glance. Let's start from top to bottom. One, I noticed that the character's face looks a fit flat. The side of the face, that faces away from the viewer, looks like it's a little too thin and pushed together. Makes it look a little flat and without definition, though the definition is clearly visible. I also notice with a second glance that if you were to remove the teacup, her chin would be uncharacteristically chubby compared to her cheeks and the rest of her body.
Now lets start with that hand holding the teacup handle. If I were to do that specific hand pose while holding the cup, my hand would be in a great amount of discomfort. It's an odd hand pose that makes her look like she's about to claw the cup, and overall most people would not even think of holding a teacup in that way. I would suggest making only the index finger and thumb that curved, and leaving the rest in a curled down/withdrawn position.
Last but not least, let's get to the leg closest to the rabbit/viewer. It looks noticeably shorter than the one next to it, and that kneecap looks a bit off with the position of the calf. You should make that leg a bit longer and have the curve of the calf a bit longer and thinner.
Overall, I'd give this piece an 8/10. The overall presentation, at first glance, is superb, but upon closer examination there are obvious errors that the artist would usually miss/overlook. Hope this helped!

Okay, So I'd like to start out by saying this is an absolutely gorgeous piece! Your lighting and details are splendid! It's obvious you put a lot of work into it. It's a very relaxing picture, and I can't help but wonder what she is looking at. Her little grin is adorable as well~ I love the details on the cake and the rabbit. I've studied this for a while, so here begins my critique. Please do not take this harshly, I love your works.
-Her legs are a bit weird when you first look at them (The position) But its quickly fixed with a little closer inspection.
-Personally, I like pictures that tell a story, Without and prior knowledge of your manga, this probably would be lost on me. Sorry if I'm being nit picky, I just prefer them that way.
-The grass is a little thin and short, but I'm not a grass professional, and that's usually left for the artist to decide.
That's actually it. That's all I can really critique, since the rest is very very pretty.

I have nothing really to say about this but, I ADORE THIS. It really captures the calmness of a nice summer day that doesn't fry your ass off. Something you can enjoy and maybe read a good book or get inspiration from the nature around you. But I do have one question. . .
