Description
Taken straight from "Zero Hour". This would be the missing scene in which Thrawn is roughing Kallus up a little.Even though this isn't even a very intricate drawing I spend hours on this, thanks to my laptop, which is alternating between freezing up, "no response" and working very, very slooooooooowlyyyyyyyy...
I'm in desperate need of a new one.

Have you read the Thrawn trilogy? I have to agree that rebels portrays him as a bad guy, but really Thrawn is more than what he seems in rebels. Read the Thrawn trilogy. They're amazing books and they introduce the character far better.

Remember the S3 episode "AN INSIDE MAN"?! He had Ezra's parents's old friend Sumar KILLED!!! And whatever the books say about him is just DELUSIONAL GARBAGE! Also he was probably CORRUPTED by the Empire IF he was once good

We'll just have to agree to disagree. If I only knew Thrawn from Rebels, I'd probably think he was evil too. But after the Thrawn trilogy... I mean he's still imperial, but he's not a bad person and he's an amazing strategist. One of my top 5 favorite star wars characters. But I can understand if you don't feel the same.

Also it's pretty naive of you to just write of everyone in the empire as evil and bad just because they work for the empire. That's not how things work. Sure, the emperor is a dictator and the empire is an oppressive government, but that doesn't make everyone evil. Some people are working for the empire because there is not much else to do. If you don't have the ability to fight back, you fall in line. Also, the rebels have done some pretty bad things too in order to fight the empire. Saw is an extremist, but as seen in the movies Rebel intelligence isn't above killing informants and they frequently commit mass murder when blowing up imperial death stars. You need two sides to have a war and while it's obvious that the rebels are the "good guys" and the empire the "bad guys" those terms should be used with caution, since "good" and "bad" are always dependent on your point of view and no one is ever only good ore only evil.
Also, fun fact: The battle of Batonn that is mentioned in Rebels as the battle that gave Thrawn his title as Grand Admiral, where Kallus mentions that there were more civilian casualties than rebel casualties, that wasn't Thrawn's doing. He had a plan. Pryce screwed it up to save her parents and killed everyone to cover her tracks. Or something among those lines.

Look I KNOW evil & bad when I see it and mostly everyone in the empire were nothing but EVIL SMUG DICKHEADS pushing around GOOD INNOCENT PEOPLE in the name of Palpatine who LIED to the senate about the Jedi betraying the republic! The Jedi may have had their FLAWS but they were STILL the peacekeepers of the galaxy! You see he manipulated the whole republic into something EVIL so he could take over the galaxy for himself & taking away the people's RIGHTS & their FREEDOM! Also the Death Star was nothing but an EVIL ABOMINATION so Palpatine could hold the galaxy in the grip of FEAR! and maybe that Batonn incident wasn't Thrawn's doing but it's the OTHER bad things that I've seen him do so far in SWR that still make him just another IMPERIAL BAD GUY here!

Well, I guess they had to leave it up to the imagination, since it's a kids show. I was sort of surprised they gave him as much as a black eye and some cuts.

Well, he deserved it. He killed many people. *Spoiler* I like the character of Kallus but I wish he had died, it would have been a logical death for him, some kind of sacrifice. Thrawn doesn't like traitors, especially if they are responsible of the death of his men.

I see your point. One of Thrawn's most memorable qualities is that he values the lives of his men. But I like Kallus, so I'm glad he's not dead (and I don't remember an episode where Kallus' information cost Thrawn a lot of men...?). However, I'm worried about Thrawn. Bendu talked about his defeat and I was really hoping that Thrawn would end up triumphing because he's just that good.

Kallus for example helped the rebels in the episode where the spy droid was discovered, he told them the droid was a spy and so the rebels sent it back to the destroyer to make it explode, causing 40.000 deaths.
If Kallus didn't have warned them, these people wouldn't have died. Kallus even smiled and was happy to see all those people dying on the explosing Destroyer... so yes, he deserves to die for what he has done, he is really not a good or innocent person.

Okay, the spy droid. Yep, good point. However he did some pretty terrible things in service to the empire too... but I feel like this is a discussion no one is ever going to win. Just to be clear though, I totally agree that Kallus isn't a good person. But I like the thought that people can change. And if we're really doing body counts then both the Empire and the rebellion have quite a high number, I'd guess.

The problem with Rebels Thrawn is that he doesn't seem to inspire loyalty (apart from Pryce who knows him better). If Kallus had met the Thrawn from the books, he would never have betrayed. Thrawn from the books leads by loyalty, is loved by his men who would follow him anywhere.

I know. I mean it's cool they're making him a badass with his fighting skills and everything, but what always stood out to me in the Thrawn trilogy was that the troops would die for him and they all think he would have been a better emperor than the emperor - you know, whenever Pallaeon wonders how the battle of Endor would have turned out if Thrawn had been there. Thrawn in the books was so awesome, I think we (or at leas I) were all rooting for the empire. I was so pissed when they killed him off.... I hope they won't do the same in Rebels.

Yeah, let's stop toning things down for the kids. Thrawn deserves better. But I guess we'll see. I can only say that I'm hyped for the novel next month.

Unfortunately I cannot go to Celebration convention, which seems to be very Thrawn-focused this year! but I pre-ordered the book
