Found another reason for their extreme venom. Apparently this species cannot produce ink for defense. I donβt know if that carries over to the octopi game though

I will admit. This is the reason Iβm afraid of blue ringed octopuses. Theyβre the princes and princesses of paralysis and can kill you in a heartbeat.

all blue rings have very long Oral plate protrusions though the protrusion is longer and sharper than the other species of octolings (in which us mainly used to help inject venom with) (inklings and octolings to not have teeth, hey have hard oral plates) like the ones mentioned in their biology here
