i used to despise fairy types, due to the popular pokemon "dragon genocide" thingbut i've come to realize in the pokemon episode where wigglytuff tries to help an raging and injured salamence.
in reality most reptiles are very competitive especially dragons, they're kill a baby dragon if it's not their own. and fairies don't typically like to fight, but they help those in need.

I love Sylveon! This picture is very beautiful, and I get why you think that. But it just so happens that Dragons are a popular type, and they needed a new tye, so Fairies became a thing. Is it bad? NO. But is it good for Dragon-type masters? Nope xD

Well, Dragon types are super effective against other dragons.
But to be fair, Fairy types are kinda broken, they're strong against some of the most common types for competitive battling, like Dragon and Fighting. They also have very few weaknesses, and the types they are weak to are some of the most under used types in the game, being Poison and Steel. True, there are a few good physical Steel moves, but there are barely any physical Poison moves. Special moves wont do much good since Fairy types usually have a good chunk of special defense.

i like gunk shot, it's amusing to watch as well as being powerful.
i like sludge wave too, sadly not many pokemon(even poison types) can learn it.
i like flash cannon and steel wing.
