Excellent work, although I do think that the shape in the upper left could do with some better detail. That one black spot...

You're close. A few faint layers use some good stock perlin noise for texture but most of the layers use popcorn or Martin orbit traps with varying parameters.
I felt the same way about that black spot too but after a while, I figured it's the flaws that give fractals their character.
