He stepped up to the front of his root, taking a breath, his eyes sweeping through the crowd. Now more than ever, it was apparent that there was a light glow to his presence. His body radiated warmth, and this warmth and light was reaching ever outward, brushing the souls of every cat. When this light touched the darklings or former ashen in the clearing, there was... there was... the smallest flickering of memory. Memory that they had entirely forgotten after the Calamity. It was nothing very clear, just a feeling that they had had at some point before the world was destroyed.
