It's harder to make than it looks. I''m not sure how many hours I spent, but it took about 3 weeks total. The idea is the easy part. Getting him to be able to stand on his own was the hard part. I actually had to give him kind of a frame so he wasn't too floppy. If someone knows more about physics or engineering that kind of stuff would probably be really easy for them though.
