Description
===============================================================================A very heartfelt thank you to for making the awesome custom set symbol.
===============================================================================
Because my custom cards are meant to showcase and promote the awesome artwork, none of the artwork belongs to me. I've listed the artist's name next to the paintbrush at the bottom of the card to give the artist due credit.
Original artwork created and owned by:
Original art can be seen here:
I highly recommend checking out their other work.
The artist has granted me permission to use this artwork for this card.

This is a custom card created with Magic Set Editor, which can be downloaded for free here: [link]

Thanks to Wizards of the Coast for creating the game, Magic the Gathering. Magic The Gathering is owned by Wizards of the Coast. [link] Please do not print or attempt to sell this card.
===============================================================================
My approach to card making is art oriented more than anything else because that's what first drew me to the game. When designing a card, my objective is to balance flavor and utility in such a way that it fits into the game seamlessly and would be fun to actually play with.
===============================================================================
I’m a perfectionist at heart, so I gladly welcome any suggestions you have. All of these cards are WIPs (works in progress). But please try to keep your feedback constructive and don’t argue with me TOO much because I’ll stick to my guns on some points. Also keep in mind this is not a cohesive set. It’s a series of cards doing homage to the artists I admire. Therefore many of them are rares and mythics, and not 50 cent ones either.

Awesome card. I would draft it. I would change "pay 3 life" to "lose 3 life instead".

And you could use the black-red template just by using the program? no hard work with photoshop?

No photoshop. Magic Set Editor is really easy to use. The link to the download page is in the description.

Interesting concept and color choice. "Rakdos" colors that add mana (odd but love it) has the gamble mechanism (izzet in nature due to flipping a coin for result) and true to its "Rakdos"form has haste and forcing the player to sacrifice and or lose life if the player loses the gamble (loses flip). Nicely done and once again cudos to the artist!

9 damage seems like a bit much to have happen on turn 2.

I mean, it's a 2/2 with for 2, it generates mana (Again, with haste), and if you get lucky, it pulls 9 damage out of nowhere.

Dude are you kidding? This is way overpowered...flip until you choose to stop flipping? This either should be a mythic with a hefty cost maybe a mana cost of 6 or 7 or put an additional summoning cost effect clause or add an backlash effect to balance this card out. Sure its a 2/2 and can easily be killed, but it has haste and its effect is over the top. If Feverent Celebrant ever existed, it'll be banned on the spot with these stats. A 2/2 that costs 2 with a huge upside with its effect, so what I'm saying is this card is not balanced at all. :/

Needs a downside, like a big one that goes up as you continue to flip, like if you take 7 damage if you lose the second flip or have to discard your hand and and tap all lands and get no mana if you lose the third

yeah, it's a rough draft. I usually just vomit something out and then work with it till I'm happy.

The 9 damage seems a bit much for a two drop with that ability. I think you might want to tone it down a bit, probability aside.
The chances of 3 consecutive winning flips seem pretty seem to deem having the crazy card draw, but 9 seems a bit too much there as well.

Tap: Flip 3 coins. For every head, you may add [b] to your mana pool and lose 1 life and for every tails you may add [r] to your mana pool and discard a card. If you do not, sacrifice this card.
It seems like a less cluttered way of doing it.

I wanted a potentially infinite number of flips

The complexity of the wording makes it more difficult.
I could see something like this in mono red with a slight mana cost payment to start.

Wording seems odd...if you win a flip can you keep going?

Yes, you flip until you lose.
