Isa and Wren were overjoyed to herald in the showing season with some of the Zlesdins. They were now on their second winter at Bloodstone and the time there had made them completely different and all the better for it. Isa was on track to be an upper level rider, with her Grand Prix steed Achates R , maybe even Olympics if the cards played well in their favor. She overcame herr nerves and was actually starting to take on teaching the advanced students and some of the young horses.
Wren was not only able to focus as much as she wanted on working with Soleas, but she also had a great set of minds to pick when she ran into roadblocks with her fiery red mare. Although they're definitely no where near the level Achates is, Sol is showing amazing improvment. And on the days Wren wanted to give Sol an easy day and still ride herself she had a slew of horses that she didn't have to beg or bargon to ride. Lei and Fox were always very pleased when Wren made an appearance on one of the Bloodstone horses, once they saw her obvious affection for Agora they both invited her to the Tatras on Bloodstone's behalf.
Within a week they were packed and ready to go, horses and all and set off to Poland, from there they would travel by lorry to the site. By now everyone was used to the biting cold, Bloodstone frequented the negatives every winter (Celsius and Farenheit) and was no drastic change. The biggest difference was the wind and the view. Bloodstone was in sky country and had amazing star but out here it felt as if they were so close, that you could touch the sky at the top.

"My ride is first but I wanted to help you double check and make sure you're good. I should be ending just after you start so it will be a bit of a stretch but I know you'll do great!" Wren called to her friend and she grabbed her tack from their trailer. Agora was just about ready to go but the mare gave no signs of worrying for their round as she happily munched hay. Comet on the other hand, was lipping at anyone who got close enough to give him a chance and ignoring his hay.
By the third pass of Wren having to fend off his advances, she stopped and mixed him a snack to take his mind off of the distractions. He was a young horse and had some experience but was still very green and high strung, making for a perfect situation for a blow up if not handled carefully. The snack entailed of alf-alpha pellets, a dose of ADR powder , and a .25 lbs of GastroPhix , and a toouch of Bloodstone's honey, just to take the edge away and make sure he would eat it. The last thing she needed was this guy not eating any hay before running in the cold and Agora was looking at his like seconds.
"What's the one tip you would give me to keep his head straight?" Isa asked sheepishly.
She worked with the young horses, but the warmbloods...that usually Lei, Turik, Dareen, or someone rode a handful of times before coming to her. She didn't even handle the OTTBs on the farm, let alone anything that was mildly willing to go fast and fuss at the same time. She had worked with all of the Zlesdins that had come in at some point, Canon was her favorite and Comet was a blast, in an arena. His spicy-go and sensitivity made her nervous, like she was sitting on a spring that would lauch if she moved the wrong way. But she was nervous when she came to Bloodstone and she trusted Lei, so why not. The worst that could happen is she would fall off but there was snow to pad the landing. And Lei lamented to her relentlessly that if she stays present and focused she won't fall off on a spooking horse if she can sit 4* fences. But fear is fickle.
Wren grinned before answering, like the good ol' days her friend needed her pre round pep talk.
"Look up and sit up. Be light in your seat but let it anchor you, keep your legs soft and gentle by his sides. Let him have his head," She raised a hand when Isa opened her mouth to protest, "I know if feels scary, he moves so big, but that's him and his breed. If you give him his head and let him use his body and see he won't go as fast but he will be able to use himself right. This horse is a gem and will stop from a gallop on a buckle, but you have you use your seat and upper body."
Isa pondered as she took it all in and nodded once she discerned the information.
"Thank you, Wren." She smiled and hugged her friend, "Good luck with your ride, you two are going to be fantastic!" Isa praised as she calmly collected Comet. The two were off to look for their relay partners, Noor and Lunar Eclipse .
"I'll see you at the finish line!" Wren grinned and waved to her friend as they headed off. She made a wish for Isa and comet to have a safe ride and continued to Agora who had started in on the second bag of hay..
