I think this works much better than the black and white. In the other image the DOF is shallower and I feel you lose the concept a little because of this. This shot is great, the DOF is spot on, and I love the muted colours, seemingly representative of the ending of a life.

oh sry... anyway, yeah we need color in our lives but in phtoography, bw gives more space to fantasy, also the bw one had better perspective i think )
