Exyton was more in the super robot genre though the mechanics are for the real robot genre- the pose says it all and the story lacked the technical details that is common on likes of Gundam and Macross. Was a big fan of Masami Obari who drew robots like they were living organisms.

nope. Exyton was selling at 5,000 to 10,000 copies per issue. Although Atlas had big plans for my work they were trying to buy all the rights to Exyton for a mere P5,000.00 as they don't wan't to loose the opportunity to own a new franchise like they did with Darna during the 60s. So we had to part ways.

ah, ganun pala. pero IMO hirap maging local comic artist ngayon kasi sa dami ng cheap alternatives ng entertainment. ang pinakanagtatrive eh yung newspaper comics

This is why we need to continue drawing comics or graphic novels.
Here in Canada there is this Scott Pilgrim story that started out as a free hobby comic book that got popular and became a movie & a video game.

malabo sa pilipinas yan ngayon kasi ikumpara mo sa convention scenes mga indies ibebenta ng 50 to 100 tapos kalaban nagbebenta ng scans ng manga/dvds/comics for less than that amount.
