beautiful, love the red. This piece reminds me a little bit of "Barbarian Chick" by Maciej Kuciara

Wow now that's a big compliment, wish I had that kind of skill heehee. I didn't know that one piece in particular but I went to check it out, amazing as all his other art... Been following some of his Gumroad tutorials, hopefully I learned something from that haha.
Thank you SO much!!

I didn't know he did tutorials, going to have to check those out! I stumbled across him googling "badass worrier chicks" a while back I was looking for pose inspiration for stock photo shoots & had saved that image into my inspiration folder. It was more then just the pose though that made me think of his work, the triangular foreground and the use of red also lend itself to both pieces having the same feel, while looking totally different.
Having a background in photography and not in art or design I don't always recognize illustrative techniques when they are being used. I had a lot of fun studding this piece though because it has a lot of overlap with photography concepts. Mostly the way the eye is drawn through an image. One of the parts I really liked and I would never of thought to do is that red circle in the sky. The way it balances the circles in the foreground, each one getting larger and helping to draw the eye upward. It also acts to frame the central figure and keep the eye there. Not letting the eye follow the lines of the sky radiating out from the figure all the way to the edge of the work, but bouncing it back in. That's genius

Hey! Sorry for the so late reply...
But yeah he's got some really awesome tutorials here: gumroad.com/maciejkuciara They're more biased towards the concept art students, but his art notions are plain amazing. I did learn quite a bit from some of these.
Thanks a lot for the comment about the art BTW, I really appreciate. Sometimes one does things unconsciously, seems like you know more about my piece than I do myself. And that works great for me to realize some stuff too at this time, what works and what doesn't.

Muchas gracias Julián. Pues la construí y la perspectiva no me gustaba mucho así que al final tuve que hacerle un warp para que no quedara tan mal. xD

I like this sort of assassins creed style Also you don't use pentool I hate pentool because so boring! But sometimes is obbligatory....damn. So great work of patience composing the subject.
