Not really sure what happened here
I started drawing Ariel for my friend Alison, and then I was thinking about parentage, and technically one could say Ariel is Greek because her father is Triton, and Triton is the son of Poseidon….So anyway what simply started out as a fun little drawing for a friend turned into a fun drawing of girls gabbing away about how their lives are ruined by their parents who think 16 is too young to lalligag off and get married…

I agree with this argument. sure, I'm a boy, but back in the time of Ancient Greece, a girl could get married and start a family at fourteen or fifteen. Although I guess the gods would be right, because The Little Mermaid was made to take place in probably the late 1800s or early 1900s. And marriage at the age of fourteen or fifteen wouldn't be allowed in that time period and onward... But I don't know. :/
