another character of mine for our Thespiria RP project that I designed August 15, 2021 which SoraWithWings has been using for his harpg storyline, and I'll be taking him and his horse and cows over to my acc here.

Alastor originally dyed his hair dark red because he started off as a fanfiction character but he's deviated so far away from the original concept by now that there's no reason to keep that. a lot had to be added to make the harpg thing work (and work in a non-fanfic context) and all that has culminated into an entirely new original character who has just about nothing left in common with his original fanfic counterpart, which even then was written based on a lot of original stuff being added. the original character was Amelda from Yugioh by the way, who in the original JP version (the scene was cut from the dub) was traumatized by a situation that should have caused blast-induced traumatic brain injury and hearing damage and I wanted to do a "what if this was more realistic" take on it, and he could have made sense as a transgender character because of the way he dressed and the English dub changed his name from Amelda, which is an Italian girl's name, to Alister, which when spelled as Alastor means "avenger of familial bloodshed", which was the character's whole plot. his little brother also had an Italian name in the JP version and he was shown once in front of the Tower of Piza so I went with Italy as his origin in the fanfic, but the main focus of the character was how war had affected him and realistically it's a lot more likely he would have came from somewhere in the Middle-East so the non-fanfic version had his birthplace changed to Israel. but all these changes, putting him in an entirely different situation with a different backstory etc, evolved into a character who has just about nothing in common anymore with the Yugioh character except for the little bit remaining about the war, but Amelda did not have brain damage/hearing damage in canon so even "the thing they have in common" is actually not something they have in common, lol. the only issue is "avenger of familial bloodshed" was PERFECT for the original character, but it was not spelled this way and was not his original name and I don't think the dub had that in mind when they changed his name, and actually this character isn't avenging anybody at all and revenge is not one of his themes as a character. but he's been Alastor from the beginning so it's hard to change it now, but I will have him stop dying his hair since it's unnecessary for him to look like the original character, who didn't really "look" like that and was another one of my "what if this was more realistic" ideas on how to change his hair slightly so it looked like a real haircut. seriously even the stuff they "had in common" were not even actually that similar lol. so here he is officially set free with all ties to the original fanfiction snipped. the only way he resembles the Yugioh character now is "they both had a little brother that died in a war-related incident" and literally everything else is completely different.

other than that, I'm not changing much from how he was portrayed in Sora's version since all that was written based on my designs for the character. this is our only 100% pure human character, the only one who ages normally, and taking testosterone would also evolve his appearance over time. basically everyone was made to be immortal/never change so we could lapse time to age up/train the horses and do multiple generations of breedings, and then this asshole screwed all of that up lmao. there are a few options available to make him immortal so he won't age but the testosterone thing would still cause him to look differently if several years at a time were skipped (like for example, aging a horse from foal to 5 years) and I haven't made up my mind just yet what I want to do with that... it's quite a pain in the butt lol.
