You depict your dancers in such a lovely way, leaning over to tighten one's shoe, while preparing to take the stage. The nerves and tension she must be feeling, the preparation and determination. Her focus and passion for dance. All of this is depicted solely through the use of color, especially how you show the yellow at the bend of her back just behind the neck. The use of such warm color brings tension to that area as well as the curve of the shoulder and the red in the joints of the elbow. The viewer feels every emotion that the subject must be feeling, and every nerve that passes through her body. I love your work! And I get carried away with my description, a sure sign that I enjoy the art!
I'm curious, are you at all inspired by the work of Degas?

Thank you! I am not that good with words... this is the reason I chose to express myself with color...
I think I am inspired by one hundred thousand artists.... everything that touches my soul inspires me. And yes, the impressionists are a huge inspiration for me...
But this was made after a picture that I run into on the Internet once... right after I took an amazing impressionist painting course in Italy - with Jerry Fresia

I saw this picture earlier today, but then I had school and I didn't have a chance to tell you that this is positively amazing!
I absolutely love it, and you did a wonderful job.

Thank you for the comment!
I think the painting is not yet finished, but I will live it like it is because I'm afraid not to ruin it. Anyway I've learned not to finish anything - a finished thing is a dead thing (says one of my painting master)
