Description
Amur (Siberian tiger)A photo that I took of a tiger when I visited a small zoo about a week or so ago... unfortunately it was a really hot day so he (or she?) wasn't very active, but I still think this is quite a nice shot...
I would've loved to get some of its face

This could be anyones backyard, how cool would be to have a tiger sleeping under your tree in your own backyard, a good capture of wildlife in captivity.

wow, amazing shot, the colours in are amazing, the light green natural tones - then just bang, the natural tones of the tiger.
composition is good, the tree looks nice shadowing him/her although that burnt out grass in the foreground is a bit of a distraction. - as i said, nice work

wow... that is one of the coolest shots i've seen for a while!
i thought it was a manip at first... but since it's real... i love it even more... of course, this is the first one i've seen from your gallery, so I might have many more beautiful things to see today... regardless, this is a for subject matter, composition, color, lighting.
benissimo!

That is extremely cool! Before I read the description I was sitting here agape, "Omigod there's a tiger on the loose!!!!!11" That seriously looks like a tiger taking a nap in Wimbledon Park or something.
You have left out anything incriminating to a zoo-environment: no bars, no water-cups, no tourists, nothing. Someone might ask why do I tink it doesn't look like an African or Indian setting, and I can't really explain why! Probably because of the amazing lush colours (I have a pretty arid picture of both Africa and India) and the type of tree shown here.. Those and that small pathway along the side somehow don't strike me as Indian; but it could easily be a zoo in Zimbabwe or Calcutta. But you've managed to create the effect of this wholly un-tiger-like place (ie. a place where we'd never expect to see one) and then stuck a big ole tiger in.
But seriously what have you done to get the colours to look so utterly incredible.. The greens are poignant and wet and lush, the tiger is wonderfully realistically orange (an excellent contrast too), and the lighting gives the impression of a really hot place. The grass in front looks slightly overexposed, but that isn't a fault.
And somehow the image of a sleeping tiger and those white flowers just go so perfectly together, as though the flowers symbolized a tiger on purpose.. A true image of beauty, this; wonderful job!

pretty, yet sad too. Yet I really really like this a lot! I think I'll fave it just because I really like this! I can't even say why either...

It's a nice shot, the green of the trees goes well with his fur.

That's a really nice photo. I like the contrast between the tiger and the sort of english countryside greenery. Makes for a great shot.

That is beautiful! I'm jealous, the colors, the cool tree, and the contrast of the tiger and all around it. Gonna it. I guess you decided not to make an extra nature phot account?
